mk2
Having just removed two subframes from nearest breakers yard (both front and rear) and had them both sandblasted at great expense, I just discovered that front subframes are still available brand new at the crazy low price of around £80 delivered. Yeah, not happy. The removing, buying, dismantling and sandblasting cost me more than double that. D'oh! It seems everyone has a few available for clearance sale. I guess they take up quite a bit of valuable supplier warehouse space. I can't find rears anywhere... Just wondering if there might be a source of cheap rear subframes as well? Anyone? tigcraft
Rear subframe? More like beam axle?
mk2
Good point. I'll have to search for "beam axle". I've always called it a rear subframe. Still learning... But yeah, if anyone knows where to get new ones cheap?
tigcraft
I’m at a point of removing mine to refurbish and brake backs too. I bought cheap shocks all round three years ago just to put me on which happened to be gas shocks but thinking about it I think i should have opted for oil as it’s never had a smooth ride so those will go at the point of axle refurb.
