  1. Does anyone know where to get the side grills that go by the headlights? Both of mine are cracked, i have searched everywhere and i cant find any! hope someone can help! thanks Joel.
  2. Hello i was just wondering if you can get rear door cards for a seat arosa with speaker holes cut in? If so where can i get them from?
  3. Hi guys, I'm new to this and want some ideas and help. I've got a 1998 1.0 Seat Arosa, in red. Just wanted a few tips on what I can do to it for a small cost but also other ideas for when I get paid and save up a bit. Thanks. Also can someone help me out with posting pictures I can't figure it out.
  4. Hey guys! So im having a little trouble with my central locking on my 2001 Arosa s, i have had a new battery fitted to the key but it still doesn't want to work! The red light flashes when i press the buttons (so i know the key has power) i have both keys if that helps? if anyone can help that would be amazing! i miss my central locking! thanks, Joel.
  5. Hi all, This morning I did a diagnostics check on my car to find some fault codes. It came back with 11 faults :S little bit worrying! some sound serious! These are from the book supplied with the scanner. If someone could help me translate these. The numbers with no explanation don't appear to be in the book! Codes- 17852 - Cylinder #8 fuel injector circuit - open circuit 17510 - o2 sensor circuit heating circuit (B1 - 51) Short to B+ 16500 - Engine coolant temperature circuit - range/performance problem. 18010 - Power supply (B+) Terminal 30 - low voltage 16955, 16946, 17526, 16585, 16587, 16588, 16586 If anyone could help or has had similar issues I would be really grateful! Thanks, Aaron
  6. Hi, I'm new to the forum and after searching through I can't seem to find any similar questions. Any help with the following would be great! - It is hard to start the car when cold, it can take a little while and just cuts off. It takes a several attempts before I can actually start it. I was thinking perhaps spark plugs? - My speedo and rev counter only work sometimes and when they do they start at the wrong place so if I get in the car and the speedo is at 40mph then its like the 0mph, when it says 70mph I'm doing 20mph etc... I have heard something about a grounding issue but I have no idea where the ground is for the dials!? Any help I would be really grateful, Cheers, Aaron
  7. Hello Club Lupo!! Im Joel, 18 from Leicester, ive just recently bought my first car, 2001 Seat Arosa in silver, proudly named Agnes! loving the forum that you have here, im sure i will become a very active user! As im just starting out i love to hear from a couple of people as to what the best things to do to my car, for example, coilovers, alloys, rear light conversions etc... I have around £700 to get started on "euro-ing" up my arosa! hope to hear from someone soon! Thanks.
  8. Well if you have seen my previous thread you will know that "Custard" my yellow lupo has died, more on that see my last thread: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=91480&hl= Sooo, "Long live Steve" the silver mk2 arosa. I believe this car has a thread already, previously owned by a good mate "Jak". Bought it at the weekend on an 03 plate with just shy of 60,000 miles; got a few freebies with it in the sale as well; set of Ronal LS's 15 x 7.5 (few flat spots but not too unrepairable), sportex back box (anyone want to buy it?), bonnet bra (again if you want it give me a shout), lupo rear lights, pressed plates and a few gamma radios. Haven't got many pictures atm with the weather and it being dark when i get home but will get some up . thats Steve Dont you just love VAG , mk2 hidden under the snow Had a few issues with the power or lack of on the Arosa, and not the usual "I only have 50 asthmatic horse under the bonnet"; it felt like the car was choking and as if the throttle response wasn't there until the pedal was nearly on the floor. So i cracked on tonight with the usual suspects of throttle body and plugs. i might add it was pissing down at this point haha. havnt seen a body this filthy since my ragged old 99000 mile mk1 cracked on with the carb cleaner and a old cloth nice and shiny ... missed a few bits but it was not budging and wasnt effecting the flap so just left it the **** that came out of it :/ Also whilst cleaning it noticed that the servo air feed pipe has a few splits in it :/ will have to sort that soon.
  9. Hi guys, basically seen some arosa alloys going cheapish and well my wheels are in a pretty bad state not sure even how to clean this as can see by picture below.. so was wondering what you guys thought of maybe some White Arosa alloys on my Red Lupo Sport.... Cheers., Tom

Noticed whilst cleaning the throttle body that one o the breather pipes (come off the left side of the air-box) was clogged with what looked like a water / oil mix... would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this That's it for now, enjoy and will try to make updates a bit more exciting.
  11. Hello folks! Just thought i'd introduce myself as I've just bought an arosa tdi, and thought it's probably best I sign up to club lupo for all my small hatchback needs! So on the weekend just gone I took a trip up to Manchester to look at an Arosa Tdi, i'd been looking for a Tdi for ages, either lupo or arosa, and this one came up and at the right kind of price, so I thought, why the feck not go check it out. So after a nice two hour drive I was greeted with a nice canica blue tdi. Checked it over, took it out for a spin and thought, yeahh, I think i need this in my life. Pictures speak louder than words, so heres afew pics. With the weather being so shite i've not actually taken any of my own yet, so heres some I took from the advert that sold it to me. Gotta say though, you can really tell its a cheaper car than the lupos, everything does feel a tad cheap. So, issues i've figured out since buying it - the temp gauge has a mind of its own, it climbs up then drops, then stays dropped for ages, so it mostly shows no reading, any idea what this is? Temp sensor? - Ive got one main beam bulb thats gone - My drivers side electric window switch doesnt work, so i cant raise or lower windows from my side, apparently i just need a new switch (if anyones got one, please drop me a pm) - think its a tad too low as i keep scraping the belly pan or whatever its called, which now rattles like crazy when the cars idling I think thats pretty much it.. those are my initial things to fix, as well as anti rusting the arches. If anyones got any suggestions or comments, smack me up with them. Cheers, Jon.
  12. Does anyone know if any other headlights will fit on the arosa?! I want to have angel eyes but I will need to take apart my headlight to do it. I just wanted to buy a cheap light to test it before I do it on mine?! Any ideas?
  13. okay so, i had this crazy idea that putting a motorbike end can on my arosa would be a good idea o.O... just wondering if any1 else has done it and how did it turn out? also does putting a reducer on the exhaust effect performance much? .. the exhaust behind the back box has a diamater of 1.75" but the exhaust i have lieing around is only like 1.275" would it effect it much and would it make the straight thru exhaust end can quieter?
  14. Is this possible? Cause the first owner debadged the front and i want the 16 badge back. Seat ones are practically a needle in a haystack. Help!?

  21. On my vw lupo which I purchased back in August, my plate spell arosa which is X47OSA I don't think it looks right on the car so I'm selling it an thought I'd have a go here. I'v had it valued and know what it's worth so any offers ??
  22. I needed to take this piece out as my centre vents had come loose from the arm that allows them to move in unity. I found a simple how to on taking this out and thought that was that, however this how to was for a Lupo and for this there is only a need to remove 3 screws located in the the double din hole left when removing your head-unit/storage bit. So I revealed this hole and removed the screws but the piece wouldn't budge. Upon further internet research l found people saying the piece needs a bit of gentle persuasion to move so I started yanking at this piece trying to gentle persuade it to move but to prevail did this work. Anyway it turns out that under the bit that seems like a screen should pop out of it, above the vents, there are 4 more screws and when you have them undone it should just slide out. Just thought I'd share the knowledge as I couldn't find it anywhere. Sorry that the thread has no pictures but its a pretty straight forward task and I only thought of doing this once I'd put it back together. Hope this helps. Gareth

  24. Well this is my 2000 seat arosa 1.0 (rory) i got it a month ago after psing my driving test on the 6th attempt after looking around it was the only one i liked that was in my price range so i went and picked it up from Winchester Heres how it looked when i got it First thing i did was pop a big chavy sub in the boot which wouldnt fit so i have it in upside down... Next i picked up a set of Jom blueline coilovers, popped them on with ome help from a friend after removing the helers and trimming the bump stops down a bit, looked a lot better Then i removed the bumpstrips off the side which took way too long! the night before edition38 but really likes the new look heres a rolling shot on the way to edition from a friend i also picked up some 15" mercedes trims and butchered them until they fit, looking pretty cool now (taken at edition38) Thats all for now stay tuned next thing i want is some new wheels possibly some 16" steels Also heres a edit from Edition 38 from a friend while we were there , im the one being towwed in the tent by the mk2 Link to video from edition Cheers
  25. Hi, I am a new Arosa TDI owner - never have guessed that from the freaking thread title would ya - in Bournemouth. I have a question. I am fed up of almost falling out of the car window when I go round corners. Does anyone have any recommendations for seats for these cars? Searching for Seats as a SEAT owner is somewhat of a nightmare. Something to do with SEAT being the same spelling as seat... but I don't really get the reference. Any help is much appreciated. I'm off on holiday soon, so not looking to buy straight away, just incase someone is trying to offload any now. Thanks
