  2. Will tell fit over TDI brakes?
  3. lol yeah, but still spend the 5k on that
  4. Hi guys 1st of all apologies again for another noob question I have bought a set of ats classics with 195/45/13 tyres and also some jamex coilovers for my Lupo GTI. Now, how low should I go on this, 80mm, 100mm or more? Also should I be using spacers on the wheels to push them out more? Oh, these are 8J and presume et25. Thanks in advance for your advise guys Chris
  5. Sold this car a month or two back. Just bought a black 53 plate GTI and looking for the same look.
  6. Hmm, such a shame as this is a very active site and a huge member base. There again it's so difficult to get people to meet regionally these days. I know of an excellent location near Worcs, just off the M5 and I'm sure we could generalte a lot of money foir the club through ticket prices; just difficult to get people to meet as a group.

    Annual Meet

Have you guys thought about having an annual meet? With such a massive membership base and a very active 'owners club' I'm sure there is a HUGE potential here. You could also generate money for the club, not to mention raising the club's profile. Billing would be a great venue for example. I run the MK2 Golf owners club and we've had 2 annual meets there so far. If you guys need any help or advice, just give me a shout. Regards Chris
  8. Would it not be good to have a Lupo only monthly or bi-monthly meet? I'm sure we have enough members within this region. We sucessfully manage to get 6-8 MK2 Golfs together at the Toby Cavery Glos. every month, I know it doesn't sound a lot, but it makes for a good meet. I'm sure we could do the same with us Lupo guys.
  9. I'll be up for this. Would love to show my Lupo GTI and Combe isn't that far from mine.
  10. I thought the Polo has a 1.6 Turbo engine?
  11. First of all apologies, I'm very much a novice, my background being MK1 and Mk2 Golf GTIs. I recently bought a Lupo GTI from a chap on this site, a rather nice Raven blue GTI on TH Monos. Ok,I am contemplating an eventual engine conversion, obvious choice being 20VT conversion, but this a lot of work. Surely an easier option would be to use the 1.6T engine out of the later Polo GTIs? I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it would be an easier option. I know you can get good power out of these units; a member of a local VW club is running 240bhp out of his. Many thanks Chris

    1.8 20V T Gti

Any idea of approx cost as thinking of 20VT conversion myself? I would have though the 1.6T engine out of the later Polo GTI is an easier option. A guy I know from a local VW club is running 240 bhp from his Polo GTI engine.
  13. Dude, other guy appears to be a timewaster. If you want the lights they are your for 25 delivered to your door. Could you please text me on 07878725740 to let me know. Regards, Chris

  15. I'd love to attend, but a firm time/date/location would be a great place to start. I've just picked up my raven blue GTI and would love to show her off.
  16. Where abouts in South Wales are you meeting? I'm quite close to Monmouth and Chepstow.
  17. Hey Anyone in this region fancy meeting up on a monthly basis. Cribbs Causeway would be the obvious choice but we could try somewhere else. Plan would be to have a chat and a drink poss. grab a bite to eat. Ok, I'm going to start a list, so stick your name down if you want to give this a go.... 1. Oakgreen16V 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
  18. Do you guys have an annual club meet or are you considering it? If so I'm sure you would have a good turn out. Chris
