  1. FRIDAY 7th December 7PM ONWARDS @ TOBY CARVERY, WOODLANDS LANE, BRISTOL, BS32 4QB Usual place, usual time...Feel free to SPREAD THE WORD!
  2. It was another good turn out, despite the cold weather. Still no lovely Lupos though guys...tut tut.
  3. Yep thats that's the one 02 plate Raven blue, cambridge rear lights, compromotive th mono alloys, dropped on coilovers, pop out rear windows and momo team 280mm steering wheel. I've just put a deposit down on her. I had this car up to 2 years ago and then sold her to 'Mort' off here. He is in Newport, I'm in the forest-of-dean. I'm looking forward to getting her back. Not sure what my future plans will be, perhaps black leather Lupo interior if I can find one. My other 2 cars are MK2 Golfs: G60 with 20VT conversion circa 270bhp and a standard oak green 16V. Yes I believe kingsley the facebook site is also called bristol dublove.
  4. I should be getting my old Lupo GTI in Raven Blue back...fingers crossed, but thanks for the offer James.
  5. No worries James. This meet is 1st Friday of each month from 7pm. Started off as MK2 Golf OC only, but grew rapidly. We also have a Facebook site. I'm hoping to get a real ClubLupo presence going. I'm even hoping to turn up with a Lupo of my own soon
  6. As per title. This meet has grown and grown. Lots of clubs present in MK1 Golf OC, MK2 Golf OC, SW Dubs etc. The details: FRIDAY 2nd November 7PM ONWARDS @ TOBY CARVERY, WOODLANDS LANE, BRISTOL, BS32 4QB. Very easy to find, very close to Cribbs Causeway. All welcome. Lets get some Lupos!!!
  7. Our meet is early July 2013, exact date to be confirmed.
  8. Hmmm....we're combining our with the MK3 Golf OC annual meet next year. If you guys wanna come along your more than welcome; if you want your own area that kool by us and we'd love to have some Lupo's in the 'other vag' section of the show and shine.
  9. Rich your a legend. Told you it was a stupid question
  10. Yeah i agree Rich, but as a club its important that some money is generated for the club, and this won't happen at Billing. You guys need to separate yourselves from Clubpolo to be honest. It wouldn't be hard to arrange an annual meet, use a few hundred of club funds to get an advert in Golf+ or performance vw and give out flyers to Lupo owners at shows such as UD next year. ...but then if admin isn't that bothered it won't get done.
  11. oh and importantly the car park is large enough for show and shine events. They also allow BBQs and music to be played in the camping area. Billing do not allow BBQs are pointed out above.
  12. Guys, I realise how hard it can be to find a venue and get the ball rolling. Myself and my wife set up the MK2 Golf Owners Club 5 years ago and we had a similar discussion regarding our annual meet. We tried Billing for the first 2 years and found this very costly indeed. There you will not have an option of charging ticket prices as people pay Billing on on the gate and I think that asked for £10 per person 3 years ago. For the last 2 years we have used a venue called Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club. They only charge a nominal fee and you can therefore charge for tickets, recoup costs and possibly make some money for the club pot so to speak. It is litterally straight off junction 5 of the M5 near Brosgrove, so very accessable for the majority of people. On site there is a club house, with very cheap food and drink, around £2.40 a pint and meals from £5 per head. They will also allow you to have a DJ or indeed arrange a DJ for you. There is also electric hook up available for campers and they will cater throughout the weekend for you. If you need any help just let me know.
  13. Why are there no cars for sale in the cars for sale section, or am I missing something?
  14. No Lupos this time, but we had an awesome meet! Next month promises to be even bigger and it would be amazing to see some Lupos and Arosas As always 1st Friday of the month from arond 7pm until late. Some pics...
  15. It started with about 7 of us a few months ago, and we've seemed to have grown and taken over the car park ever since!!!! It happens on FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH, from about 7pm! We usually all stand in the car park chatting cars n stuff for abit and then pop in for a pint or 2!! It's a huge car park with plenty of space for kids to run around too!!! Last month we had mk2's, mk1's, t4's, t5's, caddy's, and loads more! This time we are hoping for some polo's and lupo's too! Feel free to spread the word across other forums too and bring some friends along! The more the merrier we say!! FRIDAY 7th September 7PM ONWARDS @ TOBY CARVERY, WOODLANDS LANE, BRISTOL, BS32 4QB Would be great to have some lovely Lupos there

  18. Hey guys Been a member of the forum for a while and have owned a 1.7 SDI and 2002 GTI in raven blue, which I sold to another member called mort a while back. I'm please to say that I will be collecting another GTI on Monday. This one is an early example on an X-reg, 5 speed and totally standard. I also own a Mk2 Golf G60, 20 valve turbo conversion, highly modified running approx 270 bhp in brilliant black metallic. I'm thinking of going back to the euro look with the loop simular to my old raven blue ie lowered on coilovers, th mono alloys (although I'm tempted by cades jadis), momo team steering wheel, be-badged and de-wipered rear. Will get some pics up soon.
  19. Very interesting read. You have given me a lot of inspiration for my 2001 black Lupo GTI which I will be collecting next week.
  20. Can you put up some pics of the rust please.
  21. I have absolutely no idea what these are worth, they came as spares with my Lupo, which had the pop outs. £20 sound ok? Location: GL16 7DA
  22. Do you still have the original alloys? Any chance of some more pics? I take it this is the 5 geear model not 6 gears.
