how do u get these lovely person pics on here!!! is there sumin to do with photobox??? if so how do i get them on? tryed copy n paste from photobox to the insert pic and it wont do it wat am i doing wrong!!! help please

agreed,its down to the testers eyes and opinion.would have to be heavy to fail.u should have a print out of the emissions with yur fail sheet? did that pass? if it was burning that should have been effected.as a tester myself think there having u on possibly.

seen alot ov the cutttin spring lark, i dont see to much in it really aslong as ther secure and dont jump out ther seat wen flexing its fine.back in the day wen i did me apprentiship we all did it as the wages wer **** but the tools wer there.cable tie em dwn to the seats usaly does it.or very small tacks of weld on the spring to the seat ( rite at the rear so mister mot man has troubel seeing it ) ull usally find it more of a rough ride, for the sake of 60 tho these days or get second hand might as well get the real deal. as for above, agreed wudnt heat the springs up that extreme like chappys susjesting wud **** em.

woudnt of thought theyd be the prop as they cant make the revs un predictable,pluggs if they mess up it be missing or non start sumin like that.move on to the throttle body.temp sensor cud av made it think its cold but that aint it.make sure theres goood clean connections on throttle position sensor,crank sensor/speed sensor airflow etc

check the throttle body for being dirty.idle control valve cud be sticking.if it still does it after cleaning,get it plugged in and see if ne codes are in it.the control valve gets its info/data from a number of sensors.it shud av brought up a code really.

im goin to be doin this shortly with abit of luck and funds.did you get ne info on the driveshafts and hubs? wud the gti box fit on the 1.8 engine? ne info is good cheers buddy.

as the switchs are the supply to the motor surly if they aint working you wudnt here the motor clicking/trying to move.jus a thought.

passenger side went up the shixxer the other day on mine with the clicking too.check for bad earths first,motor may not be able to drawn good voltage, mine ended up being the motor tho.if the window is stuck in the up position the little 10mm nuts clamping the window are alittle awkward to get to.

true, but most manafacters we use give up2 12mths warrenty.and to send of the motor to be reconed is anythink up to 60 bucks.depending on size and the components they need to replace.paturn motor these days are 80ish.maindealers mind aint there well over a 100 in that case recon mite be the way to go.

for the price of getting that reconed might aswell get a new one then you get warrenty.try hitting the motor part (not the solanoid) with a bar/or sumin to get the motor spinning.wont fix it but can get u out of a jam if yur stuck sum where. check the feed at the exciter wire goin in to the starter for 12v so you no its powered up(smaller one comes from the ignition) when you crank it.if its clicking it does tend to meen its working but you never no,mite not be drawing enough voltage.

follow the top hose from the radiater they tend to be at the top.if not follow the bottom hose.i havnt really looked at my gti.should really
