  3. omg. towed it to vw on saturday and had the verdict today. the pick up ring on the engine speed sensor on the back of the crank shaft has bent therefore the engine speed isnt being read properly therefore it wont run. quote: £2000 for a new bottom end of the engine. they advise me to get a new bottom end as the damage has already been done to the components so even if i just changed the parts (crank and pick up ring) it would cost a **** load in labour as its more work and it may not even fix the problem. any ideas/suggestions? is the above correct or should i just change the parts? help! also, i have outstanding finance on it so unable to sell or get rid. what do i do!?!?
  4. oh well... the garage it's at at the moment has given up and suggested i take it to Volkswagen themselves to look at. anyone ever heard of anything like this before?
  5. hugeeeee problem (hi by the way! long time no see!) the lupo started playing up wednesday like the clutch was going to go (slipping and a rough feeling pedal etc) parked it at work and rather than brave the ques from cardiff with a dodgy clutch, i got a tow home. hooked it up, started the car (so i had use of power steering and brakes) had her idling and started the tow. about 10mins later i noticed it had "stalled" and i had no engine, brakes and heavy steering. tried to restart - turned over but wouldnt fire up. jump started it in 4th to be met with only 500 revs and no acceleration and a really rough running engine. took it out of gear, instant stall. been like that ever since - its a 1.4 tdi sport lupo 52 plate checked the fuel filter - that is fine no water in it or blockages. the head isnt gone. im thinking maybe it is an injector gone and since it only has 3 injectors in total, it wouldnt fire up on 2 if one had gone. had it put on a diagnostic machine today and no codes came up although the engine management light is flashing on the dash (only after a stall) ie it wont flash unless you try and start it and fail. what do you think? anyone experienced similar? i had it booked in tomorrow for a clutch change but i think il just tell um to concentrate on getting it running first... arggggh

  8. Children born alive before 22 weeks are currently refused the chance of life saving treatment due to the low viability rates. The majority of these babies are classed as misscarraiges or still borns and their parents refused a birth certificates. We want the law changed to allow any child born that makes an attempt to surrive alone for at least 15 mins to be given treatment to help sustain life if the parents wish this for their child. We also propose that birth certificates be awarded to all children born alive regardless of gestation. The reason the stastics are not available for babies born before 22 week gestation is because they are not recorded unless parents fight for the certificate. petition is here http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/justice4jayden/ this is not meant to offend or force views on anyone, just thought some may like to sign you are totally entitled to your own opinions views on the topic

  15. they do indeed - i must say the most pain i have ever been in - no anethetic or anything just rammed it straight through i would rather a another tat or nipple piercing anyday compared to that! only reason i took it out was simply because when i slept on it it would then be sore in the morning and pull against the bar as it swelled slightly and so a vicious circle begins im always one to try anything though
  16. this is on the bottom of my back having it done had this done but then took it out as it was a pain to sleep on my left wrist wana get something like this next i also have 6 piercings
  17. im only looking for around 40mm i think since the roads round here are very potholey in most places and i do alot of driving. just want it to look nice i dont want it on the floor really for practicality reasons. maybe coilovers are the way forward then.. - il b after some in the next month or two i would imagine if you could get me a rough price? THANKS!
  18. thats all you need in a seat cover right? love it!
  19. ooooooooo sounds great i was going to ask some advice actually, are coilovers better or springs? reason i ask is i have heard coilovers can be quite stiff and gives a hard ride, hopefully il be running 14 inch wheels so i could get away with 40mm drop springs right? since i heard springs give a better ride? is a 40mm drop enough to make it look good on 14inch wheels but still keep a nice ride though? coilovers or springs?
