Hi James - sorry I didn't get back to you - been a bit tied up with baby stuff! Everything that's been said on here is correct. I did put the discs in the boxes marked correctly for each side. Yes they do need a wee bit of heat in them - and yes they hum - I take it you haven't had grooved discs before bud? They are way better than standard set up - was the main reason I got them - because the standard set up scared the living daylights out of me!!

Well guys the day has come when my days of Lupo ownership are numbered. Hayley and I had a little boy last week (Freddie!) and I have had to grow up a bit and buy something a little more child friendly. Having said that, Hayley thinks I've bought a sensible car! You'll have to guess what it is though! Pick it up next Tuesday - really excited, but also sad to see my 3rd (by default!) GTi go. Still be around on here mind, wouldn't miss the banter! Have a butchers in the for sale section as I'm going to be listing some of the kit that I have taken off my little Loopy. Cheers lads and ladies, Alex style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

going by what dealers offer you any guide to a loop gti price is a load of old horse sh1te.

yeah probably right adam - i've posted a reply on the thread you pasted - to cut short i'm happy that a respected company were up front enough with me not to feck my arches up by trying!
-
i'd argue that the arch liner does add some integral strength - it's a chunky affair with not a massive amount of give in it. still - rather have my arches unrolled - if a respected company doesn't want to feck them up then that's fine by me - i'm glad they were at least up front with didn't do it and knacker my car.
