Yip, there should be 2 curved bits.

Spotted today in Inverurie high street. Think it was a 51 plate.

I got a set that your talking about, and I never put the curved bits on. They didn't seem to fit properly and looked a bit daft being different lengths. Plus I couldn't get the sticky bit on the back to stick.

any chance of a few pics?? is it a squeeze to get the cover and filter on it?

If it near aberdeen I'll probably go along.

What a good idea, what is the part number for a euro passenger mirrors. And are they easy to change?

Not going to bother now £82 (inc vat) is just mad for a bit og black leather and it doesn't have the red piping unlike the 5 speed. Going to see how much it will cost when i get the doorcards retrimed.

Well the mystery deepens took the old gaitor off to check part number and it's the same as the new one, but look different?! pic of new one, border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> Hopefully they will take it back.

are you sure leather - 6x0 711 118 nmcg - £71.98 + vat is the black leather one???

Well the gaitor came today, and I'm a bit disapointed. The probs it, a darker grey to the one i have got, and is the same leathrette (sp?), and comes with red stitching. So it is better looking than the one I have got, since it matches the interior a bit more. But still isn't as quality looking as diamondblack's picture above ie proper black leather with red stitching. Next Q. Anyone know how to fit it?

Forgot to say the biggest DoH of the weekend happend after I headed back home to Aberdeen. Got to Altens and noticed I never had my coat. The penny dropped. No coat = no door key style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry:" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> . So had to go back to Dundee to mum's house to pick up the coat with door key. Then go home again. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Not the best way to spend an afternoon in the sun, stuck in the car.

I need to get around to some pics, still not done any for the TDI which is probably "cooler" (but don't tell the misses i said so style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ). I seems to have the new car bug with the GTI, ie wash it when ever there is a single speck of dust on it. And with black it gets a lot of dust. PS ta again for the compressor.

Thats the part number I used, its for a 6speed only. I haven't seen it yet, but I described to the sales guy what I was looking for and why, gave him the part number. And after thumbing through his computer he said thats the correct one. Don't know the part number for the current one.

oh and handbrake has a silver knob, with smooth leather.

You can still order the black leather with red stitching.
