  1. November 2003 (53 reg) Audi A2 1.6 FSI 79,200 miles with unbeatable service history Top Quality Car, Excellent Condition Offers close to £3700 Thought I would make a return visit here to see if anyone is interested in my Audi A2. In many ways it shares several features with the Lupo GTI I once owned: 1.6 engine, aluminium panels, lightweight, performance minded, good on fuel, reasonable insurance, Unusual and a Future Classic? It would make an ideal car for someone who needs 5 doors and more luggage space. The Audi A2 is a versatlie family car with generous rear legroom thanks to a clever split-floor design. The rear seats can be removed MPV style to create a mini-van. Standard Kit: Front Electric Windows & Mirrors, Remote Central Locking, Alarm, ABS and ESP Extras: Climate Control, Audi Concert CD Player, Audi A2 16" Alloy Wheels and Audi Tailored Carpet Mats MPG = 47.1 mpg on the combined cycle Co2 = 144 g/km (£125 per annum road tax) Insurance = Group 8 Performance = 0-60 in 9.8 sec, Top Speed 125 mph The car is advertised on eBay, item number 320687274778 where you will find comprehensive information on the car (too much to write here). And here are some more pictures to hopefully wet your appetite - Car is located in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Regards, Clive 0794 7783 689
  2. Another vote for an A2 1.4 TDI We have a petrol version and it's practical, quality and a bit different.
  3. Hello forum buddies The airbag light on my other halfs VW Bora has been on since she had a flat battery some time ago. Is there anyone in the Peterborough area who can help clear the fault code? friendly person or inexpensive garage? Tried the search button but vag com was too short a word I think . . . Your help would be appreicated.
  4. Well would you believe it - tried the remote key which my partner has and it appears to work fine after all - I can unlock all doors and open any of them before the drivers door and the alarm will not go off. Also do not need to put the key in the ignition. Didn't realise using the manual key would be different - I thought if I double turned the key to unlock all doors it would be the same but obviously not . . . Thanks for your help
  5. Thanks for the guidance - interior light works as it should. Will double check what happens when I use the remote to unlock but hopefully get any fault codes cleared at some point as the air bag light has been on for a while.
  6. I use the key sometimes and the remote others and it doesn't make any difference. I'm hoping to find somebody with Vag-com locally to check for fault codes as it happens . . .
  7. Got a confusing problem with my 2000 VW Bora which friendly Lupo owners might be able to help with . . When I unlock the car I have to put the key in the ignition and turn it to the point before starting otherwise the alarm will sound after a few moments. The problem is worse when I have pasengers as the alarm will sound if someone opens a door before I have opened the drivers door and placed the key in the ignition. Not a problem if it's just me using the car but I have to tell passengers to wait before opening their doors. Any ideas what the problem could be? Cheers, Clive
  8. The seller has been honest in mentioning the respray - he need not have done. Ask him for some 'before' pictures to verify it was paint stripper maybe?
  9. The pedal box can brake - do a search for more info. Timing belt tensioner can snap early - make sure the whole timing belt kit is changed every 40,000 or 4 years (which ever comes soonest)
  10. Me, although I don't have a Lupo anymore
  11. Sounds like you have a nice GTI there - 1 owner and low miles is nice - good for future resale Hope you keep it standard - too many of these cars are being modded in my opinion and it's dragging the GTI's status down to Saxo levels. Discus
  12. White (candy white?) was available on all but the GTI model I think . . . not many around as it wasn't the most popular colour choice. I think it works well on the Lupo though - especially with colour coded side strips and mirrors as on the 'S' models.
  13. £4k is way too much . . . £2k is more realistic - maybe just under?
  14. Thank you for the advice. I asked the inspector if I could keep the alloy wheels (there are five with as new tyres) if I replaced them with steel wheels and hub caps - he said yes he would only let me keep the stereo if I fitted a replacement (otherwise they would reduce the price of the car) and I can cash the road tax in on the day he comes to collect it (so it's legal until then). The alloys are worth £200 to me so even if they reduced the price I doubt they would reduce it this much?
  15. My Fabia is being inspected tomorrow following a rear-end impact. The sills are crumpled and it looks set to be written-off. Is there anything I can take from the car before it goes for scrap? I was thinking about taking the alloys off and putting steel on. Also it has tax until October - what will happen to that? If anyone has a Polo / Fabia / Bora TDi for sale I could be interested too . . .
