  1. car in question is a 52 reg arosa 16v sport had an oil and filter change at a local garage but the message is still coming up on the dash. i know there is a way of turning it off myself - i asked this exact same question when i had the same issue ages ago, but cant remember what was said any suggestions please
  2. hahahahahahahahahahahaa im guessing you found this pic on my flickr? thats my car, and yes, its definitely a photoshop job my first attempt using p-shop as you can probably tell.

  4. i run 7x16 porsche 928 winter wheels, et65 with 25 and 40mm adapters. no rubbing issues at all, down all the way on TAtechnix coils.
  5. rear mounted 20v turbo you could do it yourself in a weekend.
  6. really not worth the hassle, you would have to smooth off the extended/flared bit at the sides where it matches the arch line, massive job. have a look for rs style bumpers for the arosa, maybe from Dietrich or someone, should look similar and much less hassle!
  7. not sure if this affects the tdi models, but beware of PEDAL BOXES mine has failed twice in 3 months!!!!!!!!

    my arosa

24" chrome spinners mate, cant go wrong. should fit without any mods too.
  9. wouldnt advise 13x8s on an arosa if you want to seriously slam it dude. i fitted ta-technix coils on my arosa sport 16v, it was on 14s with 175/50 tyres and it literally sat on the floor, and they arent even very low coils. would be hard to get a decent stance and keep the car driveable with 13s.
  10. ive got a cda on my arosa, cost about £150 i think doesnt sound any different to the standard airbox as the whole unit is encased in a carbon tube very hard to fit it without it knocking on the bonnet, or sitting on top of the manifold. fitting the cold air feed tube meant cutting a hole in the plastic panel behind the grills so all in all, probably NOT the best £150 ive ever spent having said that, i really dont think head work, manifold/exhaust are going to cost the same sort of money as a filter.
  11. because it would cost them money and a no claims bonus? not advocating such behaviour, buts thats the way of the world unfortunately!
  12. do you mean Mali Orange? thats a wicked colour! wish they did the mk2 Arosas in that colour!

  15. will be at e38, keep an eye out....
  16. i fail to see the comedy value in bumpstrips! practicality for the win!
  17. they are TA Technix coilovers, got them from Philj (jackson tuning) on clubpolo, £215. didnt fit them myself but the garage said they were very straight forward to fit. decent ride for cheap coils. yes they are, i had virtually paid for them the second he put the for sale thread up on e38, didnt want to miss these beauts!!!! its a mk2 arosa, standard factory paint but trust me, its not as perfect as it looks in the pics! still nice and clean but has a few scratches and stonechips. as for cleaning, i use all autoglym products, nothing special really. just wash with shampoo, chamois dry, polish with super resin, then a coat of extra gloss protection. thats it really!
  18. does it really make that much difference? ive gone from 195/45r15, to 175/50r14, to 165/40r16 and havent really noticed any difference with either wheels/tyres. but i suppose i only do about 20 miles a month

    Coilovers

i recently fitted Ta Technix to my arosa sport 16v, only done about 100 miles on them so far but they seem pretty good, nice ride without being too hard or crashy and they go quite low too. make sure you leave out the alloy adjuster platform on the rears to get a decent drop.
  21. yo... car is now skimming the tarmac, even on 175/50/14s i have very little clearance inside the arches, and 165/40/16s are going on tomorrow! have any of you guys removed the plastic arch liners? is this easy? dont want to shred a set of new tyres on the drive to GTI inters this sunday
