  1. What is the reduction in ride height on the Koni springs??? I have Eibach springs on the front of mine, but find them a little too high. I'm running Koni adjustables on the rear with FK springs on adjustable platforms. I too like Konis and was going to buy some adjustable front shockers and was contemplating cutting down my Eibach front springs!!?? What do ya' reckon?? Mark
  2. I'll post some piccies of them on the car this weekend....sorry to keep you all hangin' on. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  3. Why would you need them if your old ones fit sooo well??!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> One Size Fits All Eh??
  4. Suppose I should say body colour too really, being as I have just refurbed my Volcanos in that way. But I also like silver with polished lips Max. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  5. Like I said Tigz, seemed a little stupid to me to put old/soft/perished 18mm droplinks back onto your 22mm ARB!! (maybe you're not as fussy,.. hell I don't know??). I bought new 18mm droplinks from a motorfactor that had them listed as being for a Lupo GTi. I tried and failed to get them on, even with some brute force. If they did eventually fit there would be virtually no movement in the link at all!!???? Perhaps Lee will buy your GTi droplinks off you then? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  6. Lee you might aswell do them together, as you can't remove the droplinks without taking them off anyhow cos they fit onto the droplink and are sandwiching the wishbone. Besides they are only about a pound each. (4 needed). style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark

    which wheels...

I do love both these rims. Below is a piccie of my mates recently refurbed BBSs on my Arosa. I really wouldn't know which one to go for. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />
  8. Cheers for the replies, I'll try and get em on the car next week and take some piccies too. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  9. The stores guy at VW had a nightmare getting hold of those droplinks for me. I would have had to wait months for some to be aquired from Germany because at the time there was only 3 of them in the Uk and 2 of those that he got for me were 24Hr courier'd from VW at Swansea. But I'm sure there will be some in the UK now. LOL style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  10. Well as the title suggests really. I have been mega busy lately and have had little time to devote to my cars, but this is one thing that I have finished, but am unsure whether I like them or not now. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />

    Tuning a TDI

Well everything that Al has mentioned really Mark. Pop a performance filter in (Don't bother with any kind of induction kit though). I have to disagree with one point though, diesels do need a certain amount of back pressure to get maximum power from them. Jabba have remapped both mine and Al's car's and we are both happy with the results. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  12. Some of the part numbers and prices for mods that I have bought from VW. GTi ARB (22mm) - 6N0411309F - £46.32 (retail) GTi Drop links (22mm) - 6N0411315D - £16.17 each Rubber Wishbone bushes - 6N0411329 - £1.15 each (4 needed) GTi ARB Bushes (22mm) - 6X0411313A - £5.25 each (2 needed) Hope this helps Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  13. Hi and welcome to ClubLupo Jen. Car looks good, keep them modifications coming.. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  14. The drop links are not the same!! If you think about it, the standard ARB is 18mm, so how can you fit an 18mm ARB droplink onto a 22mm ARB???? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> I bought a GTi ARB, bushes and GTi Drop links and whilst I was at it fitted Powerlfex alll round. Trust me I tried to get the 18mm drop links on but my efforts were futile, so had to fork out more dosh for new drop links. I suppose if your old ones are perrished and soft enough then you may be lucky and get them on, but surely that's defeating the object by putting old knackered stuff back on. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Mark PS I have all receipts with part numbers and prices on, if you require them. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  15. I can relate to that Mitch, but I only got them cos everyone was raving about how bloody wonderful they were on here. Boo Hoo!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Sorry to disappoint you Toyo lovers, but it will be F1s or something else for me next time.
  16. Hmmm, interesting. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> I do like the Toyos in the dry, but as already mentioned, they are made of liqourice and wear so quickly. I also rate my Goodyear F1s that I have on my winter wheels, they really are good. I have a set of Uniroyal Rainsports on my Mondeo ST and they are also faultless. Just seems bizarre that my Toyos are so twitchy in the wet, TBH I'm a little bit disappointed in them at this moment in time. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Cheers guys.
  17. Just wondering if anyone has had any scary moments with their Toyos fitted. I have found the car to handle faultlessly in the dry weather but have had two scary slippy moments over the past 10 days or so. Completely lost the back end on a 50 MPH corner today. I managed to step her back into line but I lack a little trust in them at the moment. Everything is cool (i.e. Tracking/Tyre pressures) and don't know if it's just down to fuel spillages on the corners or slightly slippery roads due to the hot spell we have had??. Cheers Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  18. It's always a topic of conversation these days and quite rightly too. I agree with the above statement, send the f*cking lot of them back to where they come from and don't let em back into this country, EVER! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Hell that's just my opinion, but it does seem to be most peoples these days.
  19. That's what it sounds like to me Al. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Tell you what Tigz, get your car sorted then we can all go to a rolling road of YOUR choosing and put this baby to bed once and for all. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  20. Oh Andi, you really do hate us oil burners, don't you?! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  21. I have a Gti ARB fitted to my TDi along with Poweflex bushes. The GTi ARB is 22mm and Eibach ARB is 21mm in diameter. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  22. Chortle v.& n. v.intr. chuckle gleefully. n. a gleeful chuckle.
  23. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> All this banter really does make me chortle!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  24. As per title. Spotted this very clean and tidy yellow 16v Arosa near Tesco's store in Abingdon today (31st July) at about 5 O'clock ish. Mark
  25. Oh dear style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Just a stab-in-the-dark really, but is it owt like this one (for a Polo??) http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll...prclo=&saprchi=
