i got a set from ebay for 20quid mate, they came within a few days and are spot on!

the cage is half way in at the moment but id rather have the harnesses bolted down so theres minimal slack and slide on them. this cars still going to be used as a daily and i can tfind and 5 or 6 point harnesses with the aircraft style buckle as theyre all multipoint plug in to a twist release mechanism. thanks for the diagram bossjohnc that will come in really useful

i think ill take a look at the back tomorrow and come to a deciscion as i havent actually checked it out since i stripped it lol. think ill have to settle for the seat belt clip style

ive heard that aswell, apparently you have to be able to undo it with one hand in order for it to pass the mot or something. thanks for the answers by the way! lol is the cigarette lighter breaking a common fault? my sat nav hates me at the moment because of it!

Hi Im in the process of putting a new engine into my lupo sdi body, the car will then be used for track use and road use. Ive put sparco fixed bucket seats in and now need some good harnesses, im going to stick with 4 point for the time being, ive been looking at the quick release twist mechanisms. Does anyone know if the twist release are road legal? ive searched google but only managed to find info on an evo forum which wasnt much help. also, the harnesses are bolt in, would i need to drill new holes to fit the harnesses? theres a black slammed to the floor polo where i live and the first time i saw it i followed behind and came beside it at traffic lights to see the rest and it was a 40ish old woman with a pink fluffy steering wheel cover! she looked like someone out of the wrong area in eastenders, made me laugh though coz i slowed down at the speedbumps and she overtook and booted off scraping her sum to shreds!

my mates got a red 106 with stickered up back windows, low on the front, raised on the back with a cage and buckets and stuff, quite like that one! it probably is the same gti, havent seen many more about. and yes im at home on a friday night, still awake at 10 to 2! lol

yeah definately, think theres 3 other lupos in aylesbury, some silver gti on d90's, a red gti and a black sport that some lad just bought. gotta beat all the other corsas, clios, fiestas and focus' in aylesbury with lexus lights and really gay loud exhausts lol! yeah photoshoot sounds wicked, mines getting resprayed matt black or matt blue in the next few weeks

right well aylesburys car scene atm is just a few chavs doing handbrakes in car parks so i though id do something about it. just an experimental meet at first, a mate of mine did it last summer and about 150 cars showed up. its not just for dubs, any car can come, it will be held on the 3rd of july, so next thursday. please stick this post on other forums and advertise it, because the more you advertise it, the more people will come and the better it will be! it will be held in big tesco in aylesbury, by macdonalds and halfords and all that. there is a massive car park in tesco for everyone, just dont drive like an idiot please. pm me for directions or information. hope to see you there!

cheers mate the springs on the coilovers are still setting in at the moment so still got plenty of drop to go, but at the moment i cant get my fingers under the front arches lol

just a quick update..... some local chavs thought it would be funny to throw sand over my car leather interior, and respray are the next steps for this month or next

Got myself a lupo 1.7 diesel, loud clunking diesel engine, but it got me back from scotalnd for 20 quid! The night i picked it up Front end shot started removing the sdetrim the next day ripped all the paint up! took the rear badges off, boot lock and vw badge are coming off next week, filled and sprayed asap gave the interior a massive clean, steamed it all, gutted it out and put it all back in, notice the chunk missing out of the bottom half of the bumper, some fool cut it out to fit a towbar on. getting the bumper plated up, filled and smoothed and sprayed next week. poo phone editing software The original my take at an arty shot and again my new wheels, Brock B5's 14x8 on the back and 14x7 on the fronts. Sorry about the crappy camera phone pics, im going to get some proper ones next week when its lowered, on the wheels and painted. Future plans, smoothed bumpers smoothed bonnet slammed on coilies refurb the wheels turbo remap respray leather interior possibly a new dash smooth engine bay. ill keep adding as i keep building the car if this thread gets any interest lol
