  1. If you're gonna go fo FK coilovers I would suggest either the Konigsport or the Silverline-X as both of these use Koni dampers.. We stopped selling FK because of the high percentage of warranty issues we came across. We got the feeling that either they were not taking the same level of care in manufacturing they used to or they were cheapening the components.. I'd personally go for AP's or Weitec's if I was on a budget..
  2. I think it would be a good idea as long as a decent amount of people post in it. In the mean time people can post about us in our feedback thread: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=83115 I can imagine the difficulty on giving any ratings to normal members would be in making sure the feedback was actually linked to a transaction rather than just personal grievances as Nicki said..
  3. We don't have a fixed discount across all products as with matching or beating other competitors a lot of the products make very little margin. best to send us a message on here so that we can work out exactly what discount we can offer on the items you are interested in..
  4. ah didn't realise it moved vertically too.. At least it only came out of gear when I was half way across both lanes trying to pull into a side road - not like i was in the way at all :-) after pushing it out of the way did find that with a bit of force on the lever could get it into 2nd (which helped me properly park it).had messages from the local vw garage that the parts are in stock now and can pick up monday but later that day that they're on back order and won't be able to pick up monday so will have to see which of the two people is right...
  5. to get the CDA and 1x hose bend to join onto the TB from us would be about £163 so this is good value with the 3x silicon hoses and aluminium piping etc.. they make a reasonable gain for an induction kit. I had some RR before / after graphs, will see if I can dig them out. Its the best induction kit for the lupo's in my opinion..
  6. if its what's shown in the pic then I'd say the primaries were way too short to get decent power.. not really joined the 4 into 1 particularly smoothly either
  7. welcome. definitely should get some pics up..
  8. cheers for the part numbers, hopefully will be able to get one ordered in shortly..
  9. sounds like a fun day ahead of me once I get the parts.. thats what I meant to say
  10. so is it just a bolt missing then and nothing else? if the spline is stripped is that section easily replaceable?
  11. this bits wobbly as hell, so am sure a bolt or something should go on top. hopefully that's all I need to replace. If anyone knows vw part numbers for bits I need that'd be useful too.. forgot to mention it's a six speed box if that makes a difference..
  12. Taken a couple of photo's so hopefully it's clear what's missing..
  13. will take some pics and post up in the morning.. on the rotating mechanism it looks like at least a bolt has snapped off as there is an exposed thread going through it and a fair bit of play caused by the lack of whatever part was meant to be there..
  14. hiya, it looks like some bits have snapped off the linkage mechanism in the engine bay on my GTI meaning I can't select any gears. Could someone post some pics of how it should all attach so I can see exactly what has come off, and what bits I need to replace.. Thanks in advance... -Jon
  15. just to add that even though they work well from cold you will not get pad fade with the CL brakes (Carbone Lorraine) pads when out on track
  16. For hoses you can get them through us cheaper: http://www.kamracing.co.uk/volkswagen/vw-lupo/brakes/braided-brake-lines/kam-racing-fully-stainless-steel-braided-brake-lines-choice-of-colour-vw-lupo-1-6-16v-gti.html We actually use Hel for our custom lines so it seems they have grabbed the details from the kit we developed to make one to sell to everybody... The Carbone Lorraine brake pads are very good as mentioned above. If you don't want squeel you'd have to go for the RC5+ compound as this is quieter than their others due to a higher copper content. http://www.kamracing.co.uk/volkswagen/vw-lupo/brakes/brake-pads/vw-lupo-1-6-16v-1-4-tdi-1-4-16v-100hp-cl-brakes-rc5-front-brake-pads.html They recommend the pads are used with a plain disc so you should go for the standard brembo discs rather than the more expensive max version http://www.kamracing.co.uk/volkswagen/vw-lupo/brakes/brake-discs/vw-corrado-g60-disc-upgrade-280x22mm-brembo-front-brake-discs.html
  17. did you do a rolling road run on that same dyno just before fitting those parts? reason I ask is that unless this is the case you can't really claim figures for gains as rolling roads read differently depending on how well they are calibrated, the accuracy of the type of dyno used (engine dynos are more accurate), the outside temperature, atmospheric pressure, size of tyres, tyre inflation level.
  18. I've had a look and it seems we're completely out of the Raceland manifolds now. We have just set up with Ashley so we will also be selling their manifolds as a budget option in the next couple of days..
  19. Standard cars that are more powerful tend to be bigger and heavier which means the extra power is being used to shift the extra weight and you are not necessarily much quicker but at the expense of a lot more fuel. Small lightweight cars with a good amount of power always better in my opinion which is why i mod my car..
  20. It appears Raceland have ceased trading now so we are unable to get more stock but we may have 1 of the Polo 16v Raceland manifolds left in stock. I will check this when back at work on monday.. I take it you are wanting to fit to a Polo 6N2 seems as you were looking there for the manifolds? If so we haven't tested the Kam Racing manifold on the Polo 6N2 Gti but if it did fit it would be much better quality than the Raceland..
  21. its not cheap but for a premium quality stainless steel manifold that has been properly developed it is well priced actually. A similar length 4-1 manifold from Supersprint without a cat would cost £600+. With Raceland having previously been offering poorly made stainless steel manifold copies at cheap prices people just have misguided expectations of what a manifold is really worth
  22. We got 10hp gains on a back to back run with just our 4-1 manifold / 200 cell cat without a remap (same rolling road with same atmospheric pressure etc) but this was with the car running badly at the time due to what turned out to be a camshaft issue so would probably get bigger gains on a back to back test now.. If you went for 100 cell cat option or decat you would get more power still..
  23. it depends on what grade stainless steel is used. T409 will certainly discolour but you don't really get this with T304
