went to the car thismorning and it wont start no dash lights coming on but its turning over but wont fire.i knew it was low on petrol so put more in and tried to bump it and it still wont fire up.the car has a toad alarm think it may be the immobiliser although it wouldnt turn over if it was?anyone experienced anything like this before?abs and airbag lightt had been flickering on and off a few times recently also...

just noticed this had been relied to, yes i have A/C.Its a piggyback management, gave the guys a call and said it was suitable what reasons would it not work?im sure iv seen them used on a supercharged 106gti before...all they said is i may need some software upgrades and would take 4+ hours to map...

lol i know thats one reason i want to get all the info correct before i go and spend money...

hi just looking for a bit of help, iv read lots of posts on the subject but theres so many different answers i dont know what to go with... iv got a mate who will make me up a decomp plate but im unsure on the size i read somewhere 2.3mm will drop the compression from 11.5:1 to 8.5:1 is this correct?and when fitted with gaskets will this not decrease more again? also using the standard pulley on the eaton m45 what size of pulley will i need or where should i run it from?how do you regulate the pressure made also or is max psi determined from the ratio of pulley? i dont really have a budget in mind and i wont need an ecu what kinda price would i be looking at for everything for the conversion... hopefully someone will be able to help me as i wouldnt know who to ask otherwise cheers

iv started refurbing a set of wheels, they were chipped to the bare metal so i thought id use paint stripper which has actually made it a nightmare. it seems to take off the first layer of paint and no more and would take forever any tips on what i should do? you seem to have made a great job wish i had done my bathursts so well...

whats the reason you want to do this?

i painted my wheels and theyv seemed to chip rather easy any particular paint you should use?

smallest adapters iv seen are 15mm so would bring et down to 16, from 31.

anyone?i know an 8"wheel with et20 fits so since these wheels are a 7 wide will this give me the clearence i need?

just picked up a set of wheels there they are a 5x100 fitment so adaptors are needed, and an et31 so if i was to use 15mm adaptors does anyone recon i could get them on or would it be a waste of time... if its a simple answer of no then il be refurbing them to sell anyway as i got them for a good price

just been around a few garages locally and only one said they would adjust the camber and another told me that i couldnt as its fixed.whats the case with adjusting the camber how is it done?

also interested as i got new springs fitted and my camber is well out

an alpine xtype 10 running at 2 ohm and have only just put it in a few days ago, the original wiring didnt seem to bad tbh when i had a look or is it just highly insulated...

seems like an awfull lot of work...and does this mean i havent been clipping as iv had a 100amp fuse in and its not went will the current only go over 100amp when near to clipping?

my battery is in the boot if that makes any difference so my cable isnt that long iv ran 0gauge as a power and an earth straight to the battery

its a proplus ZK-1800.1 has 3 40amp fuses on the amp but i bought it secondhand so dont have the spec sheet...i asked on TA and a couple of people had experience with them and said to fuse it with a 200amp fuse which i still need to get and i have a 100amp fuse in at the moment and that hasnt even went yet so i dont know if im getting the most from it.

i was told to upgrade the big 3 for my new amp but the only thing iv done was ran 0awg with the stadard batt and i havent popped a fuse or anything yet and thats running 1050rms
