  3. hi guys, i have just got back from buying my gti, i will post some pics when i have had chance to clean it etc. BUT... its at 41k and needs the 40k service so i rang vw before i got my new car and they want £260 just for a service! and then i asked about the cam belt, tensioners and water pump and they said yup at 40k it is due so i asked a price and they came back with £390 for that! thats £650 for service and cam belt!!! do i pay it or is it worth ringing other vw branches? will they differ in price? can i leave the cam belt for a while? say couple of months and just get the service for now? (off topic; what a drive! first drive of a gti and am gobsmacked! can't wait to get insured tomorrow, just test drove it on private land before i purchased it) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

  7. cannot wait to hear the vroooom tshhhh!! which tips come with the milltek system? where will you go for the exhaust to be fitted?
  8. nahh leve them gray, they look too cool to change! u gonna do a few things to this then chris? what u got planned?
  9. Go for it! you can't wimp out. Get yourself on your exercise bike every night and train hard! If your worried about the comfort can't you just fit a 'gel' seat to a road bike? i do 10miles a day and started out doing in on a full sus bike but then switched to just a front sus bike and found it soo much easier!
  10. lol £60 is nothing! i can spend that and more per month trying to build up a good span of goods. If you want you lupo looking really nice then take some tips from this site; www.detailingworld.co.uk since being on there i dread to think what ive spent and i dont even think i have scrathced the surface. Can't beat the look of a well cleaned car tho!

    Ronal Turbos

Are those pointed centre caps available to fit phase two's?
  12. Yer good price but if i were you i would scrap step 3, its not really a very good wax, it doesn't last long at all. A very very good wax atm is collinite 476s, its super long lasting (about 5-6 months) but you do have to buy it online or on ebay. It will set you back approx £15 but its WELL worth it.

  14. I'm in the market for a gti atm and it looks like you have yourself one hell of a deal there!!! i can't get anywhere near that few miles for that kind of money
  15. hi guys i have been looking at buying a gti. Been looking around and am looking to spend less than £7k. for my money i find that i can get about a 2002 with roughly 60k on the clock for about £6.5k then put it into parkers and they say i should be paying more like £5500 for one this year but with only 40k on the clock? so any ideas why usedprices are so high? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />
  16. £600 is quite a lot isn't it?? i was thinking around the £400 mark? any pics of your lowered gti which can tackle speed bumps?
  17. anyone got any opinions on them £240 ones being advertised on here?? any problems i should be aware of when fitting?
  18. well i am looking to buy a gti in the very near future and wont be able to keep it on standard suspension for v long so just wondering which of the coilover set ups would be best for me. i am after a nice ride, smooth as poss so would like adjustable damping but have a budget to stick to so don't wnat to be spending the earth. also my current car is an absolute speed bump no-goer! its farr too low due to my bodykit but i need to be able to tackle the dreaded speed bumps in my lupo so just wondering roughly how low i can go but am able to get over speed bumps? p.s. this is my first post so hello all, i'm matt from scunthorpe, anyone living around my area? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
