Front end back on. front arches rolled and smoothed and front numper fully smoothed. ashley four branch and de-cat on, new radiator, pipes, power steering pump and most nut and bolts. Bit more progress this week wil get better pictures tommorow.

The interior was done by a local guy up my way byers retrim he specalises in wedding car and classics. Most of the bodywork has been done by allied in glasgow there a ferrari approved repairer

Did have a thread somewhere for my build but not updated it in so long. Here it is from the start. Bought it a year and a half back, in a very very sorry state. Was supposed to be a subtle toy as i loved my last gti but little did i know how much i would get carried away. First thing was to get all the mechanicals done. there was alot. New heater matrix, 2xnew valve oil seals, head gasket, water pump, belts. Got the callipers powdercoatet, replace every bush with powerflex, goodridge hoses and all new barkes. Next up a trip to the body shop to get the full car painted. Windows and engine out and off it went. Next up was a set of A.P coilovers and lenso bsx wheels with 165/50 brigestones Standrad interior was retrimmed in red and black nappa next Next up came the air-ride, colour coded tank. And also took the chance to take the dasho out AGAIN and get it trimmed in matching black and red nappa with red stiching During the time it was getting done put a shortened recess on the rear bumper and put a scorpion cat back exhaust on. After paying a wee trip to mike the polisher the car now had these, fully ceramic polished bbs rs, baskets done too. Cambridge lights, stubby mirror and alot of other wee daft bits and bobs Got the aeriel and brake light smoothed out next Had my eyes on a set of cs recaros for a while and when i got best lupo at dc, decided to treat the car to them. played a bout with rear benches so have a mk4 rear fold down, lupo base and changed the leather round with matching recaro stitching. Also put a wee plate on it. currently looks like this. And so it begins all over again ...... thanks for looking.

thats the front subframe and rear axle mounts resting on the deck. The new rims will be on in a month along with some other things. Cheers guys

Yes, the red one is on air, its mine. First in u.k as im aware. The new wheels unfortunately didnt make it into my hands on time along with other bits, oh, well will mean it keeps looking fresh all year long

Why does everyone have probem with someone doing somthing different and that they like with there car???? True dubbers should appreciate the effort time and quality of the workmanship involved in the purple lupo or do they and its lets be bitchy for the sake of it? I love the purple one and its finished to such a high standard!!

Think he sells on e38. i bought brakes that were suposed to be g60 and turned out to be lupo gti ones. Never got a refund through paypal. this was about a year ago!!

my gti seems to be down on power intermittant. ran vag comm, fault was camshaft sensor/ engine speed sensor inccorec allocation. replaced camshaft sesor, vvt valve chekd timing is ok. fault sill there. not done a g40 speed sensor. any1 had a simelar problem??

anyone else had a problem with the diff bearing away on their gti?? mine has so its box out time lol

one of my xenons need replacing. i see people on here upgrade the xenon bulbs is this good or bad?? wheres the best place to get them??

ive embarassed a fiesta with the 1.7puma engine conversion in it. it was tight but i could brake later and get out the corners first. on the straight there wasnt much in it the lupo was nugging ahead. THe best one was keeping up with a 206gti 180 that hat been tampred with, the guy was going no-where lol

in my own opinion the 165/50 dont look very strateched. i had 185/45 on a 7.5j rim looks the bisnes but handling is crap. stick to a 195/45 much safer and neater looking.

Ryte guys i have coded in my new flip key but cnt get the remote. seemingly theres only certaion ones that r comptable. would sum1 give me the part number of theires so i can get one and try it cheers

Does fitting a cheap budget cat make any power losses to a gti?? As i believe the honey combs are all set up the same inside is this correct??
