what would be good is if like the mini, fiat launches a one make 500 racing series. if so then i would like a road registered version of them. it looks like i'm running out of new hatch/coupe cars that dont have air-con as standard for the future. lotus 2 eleven for me then. ( hopes)

if they fitted all that tuning kit to a non bodyworked nova then it might sell into the motorsport community. at the moment its just a chavs car.

based on fact of what ford have made. you need to go back to cars designed in the 70's for their cars to have character and thats only because of the design of cars in general in that period. but creative merit is down to personal taste, and my opinion is that ford is at well at the bottom. but a lot of other manufacturers are also bad in the same way, only some are interesting and only some of those are nice. i would be very surprised if the new KA was anywhere near being as interesting as the 500.
-
ford cant make cars for the people that look good or have any soul whatsoever though.
-
pet sounds.

from a politcal point of view or just from their past cars? the 500 is not related in quality or reliability compared to previous fiat cars, fiat have said so themselves, they made sure it was at least toyota levels for quality control.
-
yes minimal mods but if a lupo was in super f1000 thats a different matter, but the parts would be pretty expensive, just like the micra parts, looking at the 1.0 reving to 10,000 rpm if you like.

yes there a re lots of pics in autocar, review online at 4car aswell. i like it as they have kept the weight down, its no heavier than a lupo. but with a litte more space aswell. very nice exterior and interior design and quality look, it meant to be funt to drive with the only let down the character of the engine when your trying to get max speed out of it, but then its not meant for rev heads in mind. but the abarth version should be more finely tuned in this area to make it good for getting most out of the power etc. with 150bhp and lots of torque it would a great upgrade from a lupo GTI. If you like staying with small light cars, which like to do.

oh i see. windows could still work i guess. but best to get a whole 3L and do an engine conversion i suppose.
-
mitch is it possible to get 3l parts imported to the uk then? would be a good upgrade for my gti to get the light weight parts bit by bit. lightweight parts that would be good: brake calipers wishbones steering wheel seat frames bonnet/hatch struts window glass

inspection of gti cambelts+tensioners

i dissagree i think its a waste to replace a good waterpump. if a waterpump does get old and fail "if" you are unlucky, then thats a good opportunity to renew the cambelts. -
its a nice car i like them. one thing i was concerned about though is the thick a pillars, they can conceal visiblility.
-
yes it down to probabilites. i guesed right he would get nowhere near 7.5k for it even though others have said its easily worth it. it could be someone sometime with the right money will buy it for 7.5k. but the chances of it happening are not good.

it was a just a local garage, they had never done one before. when i collected the car they said it was straight forward. -

no. get it changed soon. unless you contact the last owner he may tell you. -
yes, no one wants to pay over £4500 for it.
-
the fewer there are the more valuable they are. but we will see what happens. they are more rarer than mk1 golf gti already.

cambelt kit with 2 belts and 4 tensioners was £45 and indy garage labour was £80. +vat -
£4500 was the final value price bid. so closer to half (£3750) of the asking price (£7500) than nearer to full price.
-
you can get KW coilover kit, and it weighs same as lupo gti so handling would/could be very good.
-
what engine have you got in the audi a2? i thought about getting a 1.6 a2, as i love the all alu chassis. but still the 1.6 is underpowerd compared to the lupo gti. could have turbocharged it i guess though. would be nice.
-
a mere technicality. do you need a murder solving?
-
that would be me, yes.
