  1. This looks awesome! Good job on the wheel choice!
  2. I've had this exact problem, I replaced my coilovers, bottom suspension arms, drop links, ball joints and top mounts and ended up with 10 degrees of positive toe over the front end and half a degree of positive camber both sides, plus I'd maxed the track rods out in the ends.. I managed to toe it back out at work but couldn't adjust the camber. It turns out I'd been supplied standard ball joints; so I fished my old worn ball joints out and refitted with new boots and grease as a tempory measure, and I managed to pull the toe to the correct setting and sort my camber to run negative. The normal ball joints compared to the gti ball joints is quite easy to see, the overall size is completely different. It then drove spot on, like it did before!

I'll have to check when I'm home, I can do either, I'd rather take them to e38. Thanks

    Rs772

Set of 4 bbs rs772 6j 4x100 57.1 cb All 4 wheels are straight Painted in Arizona gold with polished lips The finish is appalling and will need re doing unless you have no sense of style. Really just want back how much the wheels and tyres have cost me The price reflects the brand new tyres which are 195/50/15 Yokohama Advan AD08R They are brand new and have never been driven on I have centre caps but no pictures Collection from Brackley, near Silverstone £400 firm Please note: the tyres rubbed on lock on my arch lining, they could be made to fit a lupo with spacing ect, but don't take my word on that

    Static+

Anyone running static plus system on their car? I have a few questions so could you pm me?
  7. I know dude! thanks very much! Not too bad for a home spray job They are good, just Seem to be a bit bouncy yet super stiff.. Nowhere near as good as the kw v1's Toying with the idea mate, pm me if you are interested
  8. Thanks! I would space but the tyres would rub on the outside of the arch, meaning I'd have to mess around with the ride hight it's a shame 195/50 is the smallest track day tyre you can get ..
  9. Relitivly easy coming out, disconnect the drop link, 1x16mm bolt - 1x18mm bolt and the balljoint. just a bit of a pigs arse to get the new one back in, but some shouting and grease and you'll be fine
  10. Update! Well.. I finally got all mechanical stuff done that I wanted to do. new brakes - mintex drilled groved and vented with mintex pads new wishbones new ball joints new topmounts new drop links new inner arb bushes new rear top mounts I finally got my bbs wheels done, I home sprayed them in Arizona gold and autosoled the lips. Fitted the tyres, and tried them on! But.. They rubbed on the inside arch lining on the front! so.. I'll have to try a different option.. They looked alright though.. Next on the list is: cambelt, water pump and aux belt. new windscreen bumper respray I'm toying with the idea of new wheels.. And static+ but we'll see.. Thanks for reading!

  12. Borbet didn't make the type A's in "15
  13. I've also booked in for a front end respray on the 8th of June
  14. So I've started work on the new wheels. I'm home refurbishing them as I'll use them as winter wheels and track day wheels! They're bbs rs771, I bought them thinking they're bbs rx2 off the polo GTI, but they're stamped rs771 so I guess I was wrong! They only cost £50 though They'll be going gold centres with a silver lip Also my track day tyres have arrived at work. They are a tad bigger than what I'm running on my bbs rw's, so I'll have to play around with the ride hight and spacing. I'll see how I get on!
  15. nice and clean! You from silverstone? Looks like silverstone village?
  16. Not a clue what circuit.. The fan circuit? basically, the fan worked but blew a 20amp fuse every time it kicked in, so I replaced it with a 30amp and its spot on now!
  17. Haha, I did just end up putting a 30 amp fuse in it
  18. They'll be on the system, I've tracked mine myself at work with the hunter alignment to standard specifications and its drives a dream! If you're close to Brackley in Northamptonshire I'd happily do yours
  19. Booked for track time at TRAX.. Can't wait to see how it gets on! New wheels are here And new tyres watch this thread I live in brackley, but the girlfriend lives in towcester, so I'm there every day.. what do you drive? Was this in response to the fuse blowing situation?
  20. So here's the photo of the front as promised, it's definetly grown on me
  21. Decided on a standard recess.. I've done a couple of little mods.. All I'm a tad unsure of.. TT knee bars. I've also fitted new red piping around the grill, and an lcr splitter- I'll get pictures in the light tomorrow!
  22. Still for sale I have the horn- just not pictured
