Hi mate, Love your build just read it all through. Out of interest, forgetting about having everything powdercoated. How much did the conversion cost you all together seeing as you done a lot of the work yourself? Would love to do it to my lupo once I'm ready to get a new car, keep the lupo and do the conversion on it. Just interested in roughly how much it set you back? Cheers

Botanic, i have this exact same fault problem with my 1.4! ive checked my battery and altenator which are both fine. was thinking maybe an air leak somewhere. Dont suppose you've found the problem at all?

Hey, thanks. Managed to get the front one apart but the rear seems to be like riveted together or something along them lines.. any idea? :-)

Sorry I mean once I've got them off how to split them apart, cause they are two piece aren't they each badge?

Ive just bought myself a cup holder and coin tray. pretty sure its the one that fits just under the stereo in one of the din slots.. is it a simple case of just pulling out the lower din slot and sliding the cup/coin holder into its place? cheers

Hi Everyone i have a 1.4 lupo with the standard headlights. Just wanted to know how to tint the inside of them, ive seen it on a few peoples posts how they have sprayed the inside of them black. makes it look a little more stealthy. Would be grateful if someone could tell me the step by step of how they managed to do this take lights out, get them apart, etc.. Thanks

Hey I have a 1.4lupo, not the sport so it doesn't come with the front fogs. I want to fit some front fogs though, but I'm just wondering has anyone done this to the normal bumper? Without replacing the bumper, has anyone like done a DIY job, cut the holes and fitted them. would love to hear from you if you have and how you done it.. Thanks Brodie

Tar and glue remover with a pretty ruff cloth and a credit card, then machine polish. machine polished mine once id got quite alot of the glue off, can't even notice that where ever there, looks great. hope this helps Brodie Red1.4Lupo

Hey, I had/have this problem on my lupo, its burning oil (blue smoke) I myself (apprentice technician for ford) replaced the valve stem seals, head gasket, i got a complete gasket set. the lupo does not tend to have a rocker cover gasket, so i put some sealent under the rocker cover to act as a gasket. i built it back up and for about a week i never noticed it burning any oil, but after that week it started again blue smoking and burning oil. I myself think it requires piston rings, but im the same as you, its a pretty big job and to be quite honest i cant really be bothered to do it.. i will get round to doing it eventually. but if you're going to get this lupo i would recommend doing it all at once, valve stem seals, complete gasket set, piston rings, full service.. Right, ive just bought a 1.4 t reg lupo, standard, and the body roll on it is shocking! So I want to spend close to 200 on coilovers for it at the end of the month My problem: all the coilovers I tend to find, only.adjust to about 60mm at the back, does anyone know of any coilovers that adjust to about 100mm front and rear, and in my budget.. Hi Mike, Lupo looks brill, just bought one today as my first car, 1.4 T reg, 62k, 950, think i got a bargain to be honest. You've gave me a few inspirations for it. Such as the cup holders, id love to know where you got these from and how you fitted them etc.. Thanks Brodie
