  12. Well well well, after i went crazy on tuesday about finding out the history behind my mysterious wheels, i decided to do some seriously deep research.. A few friends have helped me out saying they may have been used for mercedes and bmw's so i used this to help me search.. To my surprise, i found a scanning of an old (i think) geman magazine from 1988, just take a look at the wheels '444'... Untitled by rosiethearosa, on Flickr This made me and Adam R4 rather excited as we may have found some of the rarest wheels going.. during the time i was searching for an answer, id emailed Rial themselves earlier that day to see if they could help, and to my surprise got an email off 'Mr. Schmidt' asking for all the letters and numbers stamped onto the wheel.. They were quite pleasantly surprised, and they are genuine Rial alloys which are extremely rare. Mr. Shmidt said they went out of production a long time ago and were made in the 80's. He told me they had no name, just simply the model number and apologised it was a bit plain, but thats how the 80's were. I had a nice chat with Mr Shimidt about these wheels and he was quite pleasantly surprised to hear theyre still about. I have researched everywhere, and been confirmed that they were very very rare, and there is only another set still going all the way in Russia. I have been well and truly blessed with some amazing wheels and can finally be at peace Retro Wheels from the 80's! Groovy baby!
