  1. The pedal box on my girlfriends 1.0 Arosa went after 110k miles! On a 52 plate. A local VW specalist (not dealer) fixed it for £120. A the same time he was servicing a 53 plate Luop 1.0 and he said the clutch pedal on that felt like it was on its way out. That had done about 50k.
  2. there used to be a guy on Ebay that did them from the code or a pic of the key. I got my mate do order mine through his ebay account so the guy did not have my address!
  3. I want to see if theres any depth that I can use!
  4. Cause I have a spare set of lower door cards and am making the G/F some door builds as a suprise. Theres feck all chance I can get to her car with out her noticing untill she goes on holiday in late June. Am going to make the door builds now and then do the boot install while shes away and I can get to the car without her knowing.
  5. I am going to make a custom sub box for the girlfriends Seat Arosa but I need to work out the seat angle of the car does anayone know by any chance?
  6. Sorry to jump in to your thread. But I was wondering if any Vag_com users have bougght there cab from ebay? I bought one ages ago and have lost my driver disc for it. I was wondering if any one could email me the drivers. I already have Vag-Com itself
  7. I have a cable that conects my Nokia car kit speaker output to the back of my Gamma headunit. The mute lead is also conected so that the stereo muts then the phone call comes through the car speakers. All the radio mute is is a 12v so you could just conect that to a liev and put a switch on it. The you could connect the iPod/MP3 player to the Gamma with the phone mute lead.
  8. How many people on here have had problems with there pedal box on there Arosa? Have Seat replaced them like VW have on the Lupos?
  9. I dont think its the pedal box. I think its something to do with the bracket that the clutch spring is mounted on. The bracket is just secured to the gearbxo in one place but theres not a nut or anything holding it in place. I think that if that bracket was tight then the clutch would work normally.
  10. The GFs car is playing up. When the clutch is pressed down the pedal is not coming up on release. I have looked under the bonnet and the bracket where the clutch release spring is (near battery) the bracket is moving. Has anyone had a similer problem or even better know a solution?
  11. I think I have a full set of arosa seat belts if you need some new ones.
  12. Would you really use a screen in your car?
  13. Personally I think Fusion ICE is poor. I have never been a fan of it. 15" subs are terrible musically I would never have one. What type of music do you listen to?
  14. Stereo is a left and a right channel. Not front and rear there really i so need for rear speakers in a car. All they do is drag the sound stage backwards. For the best sound in a car get good front speakers and have them amped. Imagine your at a concert which way would you face? Is there any speakers behind you pointing at you?
  15. A good system will never sound good with rear speaker as the just drag the sound stage in the car back and ruin the sound in the car. Go to a sound quaility sound off next year listen to some cars then come back and tell me cars sound better with rear speakers.
  16. 6x9s are the devil and should be banned! There really is no need for rear speakers in a small car.
  17. Wiggle the keys and pull and it will come out out eventully.
  18. If anyone wants a roof lining free and they can pick it up from Pontefract, West Yorkshire I have one no posting it. I can even get it retrimmed at cost in the colour of your choise If needed as my mates a car retrimmer.
  19. A mate of mines a car trimmer. Some seats are easy and some are a real pig.
  20. Anyone who has shelf mounted rear speakers and a sub in the boot do this little experiment. 1. Note what volume you run your headunit on while in normal driving conditions. 2. Stop the car and unplug the rear speakers. 3. Start the car 4. Set your headunit at the volume you run it at normally. 5. Sit in the back seat of the car 6. Look at your shelf mounted speaker cones. 7. Are they moving without being wired in? Its a miricle aint it? No thats the air presure that the sub it moving in the boot! Thats air that the rear speakers and sub are fighting to move! Loads of people do have 6x9s and subs but they have a very poor understanding of car audio. Its normally the boyracer brigade! Oval is not the best shape for a speaker either. Round is. I made this offer on another forum a while ago and I will make it again here. I will give £50 to the registered charity of your choise if you manage to find a professional recording studio anywhere that uses oval speakers!
  21. Am disapointed that you did not take my advise about the terminals
  22. Fitting rear speakers in a car will just drag the sound stage back. You really dont need them. Also when you have speakers on the shelf with a sub in the boot there fighting each other as the air that the sub moves, if the speaker moves a lot, more air pressure is created, causing the shelf speakers to move forward and backwards. This distorts them and can even distroy them!!!!!
