  1. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> The loop was quite a way off though, didnt get a chance for a good look. airwolf any pics of this red dragon?
  2. I think you should update your sig with that Citroen wheel trim on style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  3. About 11.25 going past birch services, saw a black Loop with Cambridge rears flying down the outside lane of the M62 Was it YOU?
  4. Hmm thats more like it! Ive been thinking about upgrading my ARB for a while now, im going to measure mine and see what size that standatd item is. I'm presuming they are different sizes on different models, e.g. the TDi must have a thicker one than the 1.0. Does anyone know what the sizes are?
  5. Perhaps my favourite too style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Jon
  6. Yep like Adam says, find the right buyer and they will pay you a premium. Depends if your going to sell it with mods on too, as mods can put many people off. May as well ask over £5,000? Shame though, if it was a TDi I would have had it off you lol Jon
  7. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Mines only £100/year on a 1.4
  8. OK cheers, ill get a multimeter on it and check it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  9. Thought you had it sorted for a moment then! The boot being lose would have explained it as you only have to gently push your boot to close it, where mine needs a good slam! Just a thought, the fuel pipe hoses go down that side of the car, maybe they rattling against the side of the wing or something?
  10. Wow, good job! I love gadgety things like that, expecially when they look OEM like yours do style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> When you added the extra lights did you just connect into the illumination loom thats running around the car (the grey wire with a blue stripe)? Also is the brown wire a common ground? Dont worry I'm not copying, just checking I've identified the wires correctly style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Jon
  11. Mmm those red seatbelts are enough to make me want a Gti style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Looks very odd doesnt it. I bet its quite a bit louder inside too. It'll be easier to vacuum though with no seats in the way style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Jon
  12. Nothoing wrong with the 1.4 75bhp, in my experiance though its not miles quicker than the 1.1 106, since like Chris says the 1.1's weigh much less than the Lupo. I would imagine a 1.0 loop to be noticeably slower than a 1.1 106, so consider the 1.4 75bhp.
  13. I thought it didnt matter to the radio wiring, C/L or key. But on C/L models if you press the ingition barrell the interior light comes on, whereas on key only it doesnt. Surely seems as you are one of the main contributors in the 'how to' section you should be allowed to post there style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> . Have to be nicer to the mods nfbr style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  14. My gears are really stiff, especially when the car is cold. Also I have trouble getting into reverse, sometimes it crunches. When i first got the car I took it to a mechanic, and he said that because they had steam cleaned the engine bay the gear linkages had become stiff. He sprayed the linkages with something, made it a bit easier, but its worse now what it ever was. it takes a few attemps to reverse up the drive on a morning sometimes style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  15. Yep I did it the remote central locking way even though I only have key entry. I think the difference between remote and key only entry has something to do with the switch in the ignition barrel, though i dont know exactly how this affects the radio wiring
  16. I got the polo rear wiper when my back blade needed replacing, but for looks too, as the plastic cap on the old on had started to fade. Aero one looks much better IMO. As for the wiper performance, well recently I bought some brand new fronts from the stealers, work perfect as you would expect, but then my mum starrted complaining she needed new ones, so I gave her those and ordered some aero ones, but that fit the standard wiper arms. Works out quite a bit cheaper than fitting the GTi arms and blades. I got them from here (cheers for the link Ray): I had to bend the drivers side a little bit as it was missing in places, but they are pretty much perfect now, and look better I think. Supposed to be better at speed but I havent driven fast in the rain so cant say if its true or not style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> .
  17. Nice to see them both clean next to each other. Ive just noticed what the old numperplates were like, the new ones smarten up the car quite a lot style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  18. The FAQ section is very helpful you know! Modify the aftermarket HU wiring loom Jon
  19. Hmm dont know the part number should have writted it down when I had mine off, think they are called 'Suzuka' though. Yep it was Lubilu who was looking for a replacement wheel, said £220 from VW: Lupo SE Wheels Should have waited and got an SE style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  20. I was in a black 1.4SE, you overtook me then I followed you for a bit before I took the Elwick turning. Had black Arosa rear lights. Jon

    Tyre sizes

Would think it would be 185/55 R14 H If its just a puncturte you might be able to get it repaired and not have to buy a new tyre style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Jon
  22. Hello there! You nearly bought yourself a very rare lupo! We've got two 1.4SE's on our drive, one in black and one in green (the only two colours they came in). Some of the prices advertised really are rediculous! Got my mums green one last year, only 12K on it, for the same price as the one you were looking at if its the same one im thinking of. That was a year ago though! When I got my black one this July I got a good deal, but that was only because there was a pricing error on the dealers website so they had to sell it to me at the lower price style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> . I was searching for 1.4SE's from september last year pretty much every week till I got mine, they really are hard to find. They do come along, just not very often! TBH I doubt you would get one for much less than £4k, I think the price you suggested would have been a decent price for that car with that low mileage. The only place I have seen one go for a decent price was an eBay auction. If you want some more 'SE' information click on my sig, its a link to my readers rides thread. So are you definitely getting the red 's' then? OK no need to rub it in style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Jon
  23. Oh great, I might be interested, my mums car want one now... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  24. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflmao:" border="0" alt="roflmao.gif" />
