  1. Wonder why you've been thinking that today? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> My mate was just on about this on our way back from Durham, although his method was saying to someone "Fit climate control, ya lovely persons" Been red hot today.
  2. Ah, the last set of Sill plates I see style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Looking good, was it much bother fitting the manifold? Did you have to get it heated and bent to shape? What suspension kit is it?
  3. Are they hard to change? Wouldn't have thought they'd be that difficult, couldn't be harder than my Punto, you were supposed to take the bumper off to change the bulbs in that. Or could it? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Very tempted by them, they look great.
  4. Well, I sent him an e-mail, saying I'd been in contact with KW's technical department and they'd told me that they are the old model, and that they will not fit a GTI, and, as such, I didn't want to go through with the sale. He replied, saying that KW are wrong, and they were made especially for his company and will fit the GTI. Sounds like a whole load of bullshit to me, so I'm gonna tell him to shove it. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Payna, what are your Variant 1's like? Are they comfortable enough? Just been talking to my cousin and he said that coilovers are rock hard, but that goes against what I've read here. Variant 1's are what I'll be going for I think, so your approval of them would be spiffing. Can I ask how much you paid? Cheapest I can find is £650 inc VAT and delivery at www.europerformance.co.uk.
  5. Yeah, it's just pointless vandalism, I thought they were gonna draw a picture, just like Neil Buchanan, only with motorbikes. Why don't you need a helmet on a mini-motard? They'll still do about 30-40 mph, so you're saying that you wouldn't need a helmet if you were just riding round town on a proper bike, as you wouldn't be going over 30? You can still hurt yourself on a mini bike, as my mate found out when he fell off my minimoto, cracking his head off the tarmac then having the bike land on the other side of his head, oh how we laughed. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  6. I'm unsure what to do now, it sounds as though they may fit, but KW have said they won't. Would there be much of a difference between Galvanised and Stainless? Think I may just tell him politely to naff off with his incorrect description, with him saying that it's his own part number when it was an old KW one seems a bit dodgy to me. May just not get them and get some Variant 1's instead. There's a negative feedback for me then style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  7. 15280025? That just makes things more confusing, as they're the ones that KW say fit the normal Lupo and not the GTI. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> They said the only ones that fit the GTI are the xxxxxx45 ones. Phoned KW's technical department, they checked the serial number that he had on his listing, and said they are for a Lupo, but will not fit a GTI, and that they're the older galvanised ones rather than the stainless ones. The blokey said that the number he used on his site is not KW's part number, it's his own company's, which it obviously isn't if KW said that they're for the Lupo. To add more fuel to the fire, my Dad's been scouting round and found another website that says they'll fit the 6ES, which I think is the GTI is it not? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />
  8. Are they the same for all model types? As awesomegti.com has a seperate set listed for the GTI, but europerformance says 37-92kW, which covers the GTI. I've just bought some from german eBay for a very good price, but my dad just brought the awesomegti site to my attention. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 These are the one's I've gotten, He say's they'll fit the GTI. Part Number 15080025. Awesome GTI has 15280025 for a normal Lupo and 15280045 for a GTI. But europerformance has 15280025 for all Lupo's, which is what Awesome say is only for GTI's. KW site agrees with Awesome, but has no record of 15080025 (which is what I've gotten) on their site for a Lupo. Sorry about all the numbers, bit confusing, but I'm stumped.
  9. If yours is the Venom Lupo, I don't think you'll fit the brakes behind the 14" Schmidts. OT: I thought Venom's Lupo had "Approximately 300BHP!" not 382bhp?
  10. So they updated the site two weeks ago, but the prices didn't go up til today? Surely that's a bit daft, I probably would have bought some by now, but when they went up by so much I held on for a while. I think I've decided on KW's now anyway, so **** to you FK! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  11. How much did you pay then, because they already went up a week or two ago, from £307 to £411 exc. VAT for the Highsports. The rest of the range went up about £100 as well. This was from Venom.
  12. On german ebay. Bonnet bra - http://cgi.ebay.de/BRA-Haubenbra-VW-Lupo-U...1QQcmdZViewItem Full front bra - http://cgi.ebay.de/BRA-Steinschlagschutz-V...1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. I'm pretty sure if you have a third brake light it has to work
  14. Tornado Red Moon Silver Reflex Silver Black Anthracite Raven Blue Anthracite and Raven Blue were limited edition colours. The two silvers are more or less the same I believe.
  15. If you followthe link they're now £482.22. £390 was a special offer if they were ordered before Christmas

    Top Gear

yep, was an Audi RS4 if memory serves. James May was driving a Clio when racing the cyclist I think. I love Top Gear style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  17. Philplop

    Which coilovers

    Not really... They're the Highsports style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Konigsports are £690 on there
  18. Philplop

    Which coilovers

http://www.venommotorsport.com/shop/index.html Have a goosey, they've gone up on Venom, now £527 excluding VAT = £619.19 including VAT
  19. Where from?! Was this before Venom put their prices up? Cheapest place I can find is £470, which is still Venom.

    Top Gear

Anybody remember his chat show? was called 'Clarkson'. He used to make mortars out of spaghetti tubes and fire potatos, and he made a big one using a bin and fired a turkey out of it. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I find Star in a Resonably priced car pretty dull, it's just the same every week, same as the Stig racing round the track, it's interesting to know the times, but watching it every week is rather repetetive. I love Top Gear, and wouldn't want it to change back to how it used to be, Fifth Gear is pretty much the same as old top gear, and that's really boring, it's too practical. I suppose its the same sort of argument as people were having about EVO magazine. My favourite Top Gear quote of late: "We really are at the cutting edge of cocking about" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  21. Cheers. The Ram is my Dads, he showed the picture to his workmates in Canade (where he bought it), and they all just laughed at it because the Lupo's so small (the smallest car they get over there is the Golf), but he said they were all impressed when he told them how quick it was. So there we go, converting fat Canadians over to the Lupo too! Back on topic: I want black wheels! How much did you pay to get yous done Jen? Are they powder coated or just painted? Thanks
  22. Noooo, you can't do that, that was my idea!
  23. From the manual: Warning and Indicator lamps 2- Seat Belt (Only for some export countries)
  24. I like the replies in the For Sale threads, it gives me a chance to learn things about the products that I didn't know. It can help the sale, as people can post up comments saying how good the product is, and it can prevent people getting ripped off (intentionally or not). Say if somebody was selling a set of springs for all Lupo's, somebody could pipe up and say that they only fit on certain models; the seller may not have known this, he may just be misinformed or uneducated about the item. If contact was limited to PM's, this information would not be widely available, and even if the seller was informed by PM, they may choose not to make it known in their advert.
  25. I think the poeple who fitted it to a GTI had the pipe heated and bent to allow it to fit. Have a search for Manifold and I'm sure it'll come up.
