  1. Cheers alex! That is the handbrake i am gonna go for I used 'Race Glaze' leather cleaner, awesome stuff. I used a damp cloth to go over the seats, used a brush for leather seats to work the product and then wiped away with a damp micro fibre cloth! Unfortunately i don;t have a camera so my iphone doesn't do it much justice and they look alot better in the flesh! Next big purchase will be KW coiles
  2. UPDATE So in the week i was browsing ebay, and came across a mk6 golf gti gearknob and gaiter virtually brand new!! for a good price. So snapped it up and awaited for it to be delivered. It arrived yesterday, so today cracked on with fitting it, had to swap the gaiters over for my lupo one, was abit tricky but got there in the end! I have bought a new gaiter, which will arrive in the week, but for now i am happy with it and i now know i can swap it over quickly enough. Since i cleaned my seats, i stupidly forgot about the steering wheel So got to work on cleaning that too. And how it looks now. I want to do the handbrake too so on the look out for that next. cheers guys stef
  3. So nice! Would love to see this in person. You going to take it to any shows?
  4. Mini Update So spent this morning putting on my new 'clean' plates. Never was a fan of the drilled holes and holders they were in. Think the back could come down abit, but have only just stuck them on Car goes in tomorrow to Rentech portsmouth! cheers stef

  8. UPDATE So today i decided to get up and give the lupo a thorough clean! And to clean the seats and engine bay. Also replaced the rear wiper for a new one. Here's some pictures, hope you like. And some of the inside, the seats look a million times better than before! Here is a quick comparison (And with the old and new mats) And new And a quick clean on the engine bay. Cheers stef
  9. I am enjoying it, lots i want to do! Just needs things like gear knob and grab handles replacing but i dont know where you guys buy oem stuff from? Simply walking into a vw dealer i guess?
  10. MINI UPDATE Have done a few things since, but only really replacing rather than anything. Had the following go on me at different times, mainly age related. *Sidelight gone *number plate bulb gone *Heater control stopped lighting up So i replaced both sidelights for normal oem ones. Bought some brighter number plate bulbs and replaced both of those And did some research on why my heater 'knobs' stopped lighting up....turned out to be a bulb, nice simple fix. So got some tools for the job, pliers to get the knob off, long nose pliers to get the bulb out and some tissue to protect the bulb and knob when pulling them out. The offending bulb That's better All back together All better My girlfriend also bought me a different set of mats and are nicer than the ones i had just put in, so now have a spare set, never mind. I will get some pictures tomorrow as i have also bought some leather cleaner for the seats so will be tackling that tomorrow I have also booked the car into mike at Rentech in portsmouth to have the following done *Full service including gearbox oil change *New discs and pads all round *New starter motor fitted (mines being noisy) *New thermostat (My temp is being temper mental) *General check over So all being good i will then look to purchase some KW coilovers I know abit of a boring update but hopefully some better ones to come.
