i want to buy usb tuners for my mini, there seems to be a lot of different elgato eyetv products, which do i need to run freeview and watch one channel whilst recording another? is it the diversity that i want?

my dad has a 1.9tdi roomster scout for his business, and it is gutless and slow, so not sure how the 1.4tdi in any car could have an acceptable level of performance. why not get something with a pd130/150? good fuel consumption and more than quick enough when mapped.

ok, you own a gti, i didn't realise that, but i have run both my lupo gti and a 182 back to back, and when i sold my gti my decision was down to a 182 or an ibiza cupra. i had a 182 on loan from a friend for a week, and the 182 is in a different league to a gti. a gti handles like **** compared to a clio, if you think otherwise then you are mistaken. even a gti on coilovers (and yes mine was) comes nowhere close to a standard clio. i really can't be arsed to go on with this, you have blinkers on and they obviously need removing before you'll be willing to come to terms with the facts.

how is your personal opinion more valid then actual facts? i've given hard facts on performance, and alex has given fuel consumption figures.... but no, your opinion must be right bearing in mind you own neither of the 2 cars

once again you are talking bollox. a 182 gets around the same fuel consumption as a gti if not better. the gti is shocking on fuel for it's size and engine. i'd regularly see between 200-240 miles out of the gti's tank which is rubbish. the 182 is light years ahead of the gti in performance and handling, and servicing is gonna cost the same if not slightly less. the only thing that would cost more is insurance.

as are all of my posts anyway, i've owned french and never had any reliability problems. my saxo vts was awesome fun straight out of the box as standard, and i owned it as my daily runner at the same time as my 260bhp MR2 turbo. the build quality was flimsy, it felt like it was built out of kitkat wrappers, but that's what made it so fun as it was so light. french cars have come a long way nowadays, and they feel much better put together, and compared the the likes of ford and vauxhall plastics i'd say renault were at least on par. VAG piss me off that they can't sort out stupid niggles on parts that run right across the brands and ranges, even crappy stuff like MAF sensors and windows switches that seem to fail on every VAG car i've owned.

lol, you obviously have no idea what you are on about. a lupo gti does 0-100 in nigh on 25 seconds and a clio 182 does it in around 17 seconds. 60-100mph in the gti is 16.5 seconds and in the 182 is arrives in around 10.7 secs. if you think there is no difference until triple figure speeds then you are seriously deluded.

lets be honest here, a £100 astra is slightly different to a lupo gti. how about we get kam to tell us if it would have failed an MOT on anything? on second thoughts i really couldn't give a f*ck.

as they would have had to get a traffic officer to inspect it, yes their opinion does represent what is and isn't roadworthy. they are hardly gonna condemn a perfectly legal car are they, and as kam was gonna scrap it, i get the feeling that it was a heap of crap.

why were you being such a pikey to drive round in an unroadworthy car?

i don't really see the point of the apple tv, other than to have another apple product. if it could play mkv files then i would go straight out and buy one. next purchase for me will be a usb tv tuner.

I got a new apple flavoured toy! picked up an apple time capsule 1tb, and then added another 1.5tb of storage externally to it's usb port. i have used other nas boxes before, but i am really really impressed with this. i won't be using it with time machine, it is mainly being used to store all my HD content for use with plex. so far i've loaded around 1tb of data onto it and plex has scanned and created my libarary. also added it to a workgroup so the windows pc's in my flat can access it too. piece of piss to setup, literally just plugged it in and my mac detected it and set it up. it even has a gigabit switch, and the wireless N access point built into it, along with a dhcp server if you need to make use of it.
