  1. Hi, does anyone know which relay it is for the 'lights on' buzzer, many thanks.
  2. Where is this module located? Is it an easy fix? I haven't vagcom I have searched the net and found a few threads which suggest that changing the head unit could also cause this buzzer etc to fail? Thanks for the reply....
  3. Hi, im having issues with my lights on buzzer, also the car locks itself after a short while. I have checked the forum, and other sites which suggests its the micro switch. My interior light fails to come on (when key is switched on in ignition) when drivers side door is open, it only lights up with passenger side door. I bought a new lock mechanism on ebay which failed to work, then bought a brand new from the dealers. This still has not resolved the above issue. Any advice/help on this matter would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

  8. Hi, I think 5k is a healthy budget. There is a guide on here which highlights the common faults. No sunroof or air con as standard. All in all, good solid cars which hold there value. The gti will be now where as quick as your cooper S. I would get test driving!!! You may find you miss that extra oomph! All the best.
  9. Saw a Moon silver gti, reg YY02 ***, sat on a driveway. Lovely example, lowered on grey Bathurst. Looking clean! Anyone here?
  10. Hi could be your rear window washer jet? Check to see if yours work. If it don't it may have popped off causing the leak. It's a common fault.
  11. You may need your arches rolled and pulled. Or you may need more of a stretch on your tyre!
  12. Could be a wet one. Bring your brolly.
  13. To cut a long story short, it shattered! Needs a replacement glass. I will hopefully get one in next couple of days. The car is at me olds all bagged up.
  14. I'm in tooo!! If I get my window sorted.
  15. Hi, I have managed to shatter my passenger side glass on my lupo gti! Complete fail replacing the regulator. Do you guys know if the side windows are all the same across the models? Will an Arosa window be any different? I know the windscreen is slightly thinner on the gti, and assume the rest of the windows are the same regardless of model? Please correct me if I am wrong. Many thanks.
  16. I'm always about! Bedford/kempston area. Silver gti! Don't see many others about either.
  17. Hi, there is a guide in the How to section. Althought this is for a flip key mod. And only works if you have remote central locking I think. You can program it yourself simple by sticking your original key in ignition and the one to be programmed in the door. The problem you may have will be the immobiliser chip! There is a chap on eBay who supplies and cuts HAA key blade, but he require a photo of your key to do so. He has good feedback too!
  18. Hi, Can anyone shed some light on my prob, I have googled and searched previous post to no avail. The window at fault is the passenger side on my gti. Both passenger and drivers side switch work fine when putting the window down. The problem is sending it back up. Both switches fail to bring the window up. In addition, the window will eventually go up on its own accord. Need to rectify as the weathers improving. I have tried re-setting that side. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Many thanks.
  19. Thanks for the reply, it's the de-misting which is the issue, not so much frost as that's gets scraped along with the other windows. Just a little annoying knowing it's Not functioning to its full extent! Just a personal thing. May ask Dale for a price on one.
  20. Hi, i noticed that i have 3 lines (in the middle) where the car fails to defrost. What's the best stuff to use to help repair this prob without replacing the rear glass. I have seen halfords have a tube of stuff but has poor reviews on application. Many thanks.
  21. Try wrapping the trim in blue. Won't cost the earth. That's what I plan on doing as mine is fading. If that fails, will see if a red rattle can will sort it! Anyway, nice looking car pal!
  22. Amazing how simple mods can tidy up a car. Could you pm the part no's of all 4 badges please. Mine could do with a little update. Your car is looking good mate. What else do you have in the pipeline?

  24. Hi, I have ml's on my gti. 195 tyres dropped on eibach springs. No rubbing issues as it still looks like it's on stilts! Wheels do stick out a bit with this profile. Will try get pics up.
  25. What a complete turd. I would try find who done it first. They may strike again once you have sorted them dents. That would be a double kick in the face. Perhaps look into getting an alarm too.
