  1. Ive tired to reset it by doing the trip reset button, turn on ignition, release button and turn off ignition, but it isnt working. Any ideas? Ive followed the guide and i did it last year and all was well. Nothing changed this year.
  2. Only one on my Arosa and thats fine. It had been strange before and had stopped working for a week but then did start back again and had been fine. Which made me think it could be a loose wire and it got knocked or something but im pretty sure it didnt get a knock when it stopped working this time as i was sat waiting for a gate to be opened.
  3. My horn has stopped working, which isnt nice when you come to use it. I think it stopped working when i was getting the attention of the security man at work to open the gates. I honked a few times then it stopped. Horn looks to be in good condition, i have taken the bit of grill off infront to see it. Wires still attached and they seem to be in good condition. Im wanting to get the horn off, do i undo the one behind the horn that attaches on a small bracket, or the one you can see? Ive tried pulling the wires off so i can see if theres any power going to the horn but they seem to be stuck on well. Any ideas?
  4. You could have saved on the load equalisers and hidden a bulb somewhere thats in line with the LED's. Heard the tip from a lorry driver who had the problem with some LED indicators he had. Put in a bulb in line and tooked away so you couldnt see it and it saved the need for anything else and was simple.
  5. There is, he has said hes blown up his headunit. There must be a voltage going somewhere it shouldnt. You need to get a multimeter on it and test the wires and see what is happening there. There should only be two wires(i think?) that should have a live feed which are ignition(only be power when car is on) and a main live which has power all the time. The voltages will vary with readings, quite often you will get something like 13.8V, it can be around 12V really. Check it with the car on and alter the revs to see if there is any more power going to the headunit. How have you tested the headunits have blown? That they havent come on or they have gone bang and theres been smoke? Normally a fuse would kick in before but not always. My dad once plugged in a 12v radio into his truck and it went bang and smoked a little. You need to really get it plugged in somewhere else to see if it will come on. Get yourself a multimeter. They have uses in other places aswell so are useful to have.
  6. Looks alright i think. Not sure about the lights though. How about doing the mirror covers in black? If someone could photoshop it to see how it would look. A glossy black maybe? I like black roof but i think they look better when there is a spoiler on the back.
  7. Bike chain. Also got a swiss army knife on there
  8. Doing that would result in no bonus's, so what do you think? We have a decent number of caravans and motorhomes being despatched per day at the moment.
  9. I sell the accesories to caravanners and motorhomers. But the place that i work sells caravans and motorhomes.
  10. If i were you id ask to see what checks are meant to be made before a car is bought and allowed to be taken onto a road. By the sounds of it a dealer has let you drive a car off that isnt allowed on the road. At work a caravan is not allowed to go off without all working lights and a proper number plate, not just a paper one. Motorhomes are the same. Im not sure if its company policy or that it has to be like that. Get some advice on it and try and get back the amount owed plus the amount of tax you thought you had remaining. I would, seen as that is what you expected to have on the car.
  11. If they haven't sold mate, shoot me a PM
  12. Where did you get the wind deflectors from? Do they fit the Arosa Mk2 aswell. Car looking nice
  13. Shove your hand up the side of the dash on the drivers side. The bit that's by the floor. The wire for the socket runs along there. You can grab hold of it and pull it down. There's 3 wires going to it and a connection box. If I was you I'd check that there's power going to the cig plug there first. If there is then you know there's a fault with the cig plug itself. If there isn't then there's a problem somewhere else. The 3 wires are: Neutral Live Live for the light on the plug. Which only works when you have your lights on. Whether there's a second fuse somewhere I don't know. There could be one on the wires which I've just told you to grab by the connector. Its a bit of a fiddle to get to but they are there.

    show plates

Anyone used an online place to get show plates and can recommend one? Ive tried dubmeister but i cant get onto the show plate bit. Cheers
  15. How do you know when it has gone? My car seems hard to get into 1st at times, reverse more times then when i first got it and i think 3rd is getting a bit stiff. But im not sure if its just me being an idiot
  16. Pictures not the best, only taken on my phone. This is looking at it from the back of the car. The black bit on the goldy coloured bit slides across when locked or unlocked. This does move, and it does move the right way. The thin bit on the left with that black plastic bit goes down to the release bit. This will move when i move it, and will move slightly when you use the 'S' badge, but not enough to release the boot. This is it side on Everything appears to me to be in place, but it just doesnt move enough
  17. I still cant get the bootlid to open from the outside. The S moves, it clicks slightly but it doesnt release enough to let the boot open. Ive had the back bit off to get to the mechanism, but i cant see what i need to do to get it to work. Anyone else had the same problem? It started when i put a big box in the boot which seemed to push on the mechanism inside. Ive got pictures of the mechanism if they will help? Im well stuck
  18. Firstly what you could do with doing is understanding what 'road tax' is. It isn't road tax, its VED. Money from this doesn't go to pay for roads There's been a link posted which I think explains why you pay VED. Read it, or just be another motorist without a clue.
  19. My washer jets must have blocked up so I went to clear them today. Did the passeneger side, took the pipe off, poked a pin in and sorted. Went to do the drivers side and you might be able to guess what I did. So can I get the jet off at all to remove to pin? Or do I need to keep trying to get it out? How do I get the plastic bit off the boot lid aswell? Is it just a pull off. I got a couple of bits away, but didn't want to force it and break it. Cheers
  20. Front of back? The front ones have Torx head bolts that you undo. Turn the wheel so you get better access to them. Theres a little flap that slots behind the panel i think, or something like that. There is then a metal clip that you put on which goes into the mud flap and over that plastic flap. This secures the top. As for the rear, i think it might just be bolts you undo, not sure though. I only have front ones at the moment.
  21. If your wanting them on that little shelf that's like a parcel shelf but more like a flap, you need to make up a new parcel shelf from MDF. Have a search, there's a how to I think. As for wiring them up you can just hook them to the stereo as rear speakers. From readding on here I don't think this is the best was, if I read right you could do with a small amp to run them off that. Someone will be along to tell you properly soon. Oh and you could put them in your boot near the bottom, but my brother did this in his Astra he had and you couldn't really hear them. Fine for when he had his boot open and was at the back of the car or whatever, useless for when he was driving along.
  22. Work xmas hamper is out the car and inside, dont worry And very nice it is too! Ill take that cover off and check it out when ive got time, might be next week now. Cheers for the help, if it all goes wrong ill be back
  23. On which bit? Do i need to take the plastic cover off the boot? Or is it the bit on the bottom that i need to look at? Thanks
