Had this on my BMW and it was a sticky brake caliper. pump the brakes a bit when it does it, see if it stops. Also try checking to see if the brake feels hot compared to the other side.

Birmingham, but if the good ones aren't too expensive then I might buy one. Having said that, if I could borrow one that would be very handy.

i've heard this VAGCOM word a lot, did a search on it last night but still a bit vague as to what I need to buy. Am I right in thinking its diagnostics software? Looked on ebay and they seem to range from £8 to £500! I assume the £8 ones are rubbish. What's the minimuim I need to spend to get one that will do what I need it to? Hi guys, Could do with some help or pointers here. I've owned the car for a week now and just noticed that when you stick the key in the ignition and turn it to position 3 (but don't crank it over) so the warning lights come on. The airbag light and the oil light don't come on. (it's a gti) Like all modern cars the manual says they should come on and go out again 15 seconds later. Unfortunately there is no sign of life. Here is a picture of what does light up (apologies for the quality!) Any ideas what this could be. I really hope they haven't been removed by the previous owner to hide a shady past :-( Thanks Gareth

It looks a thousand times better than the blue. I'm quite liking it when people stick to a theme, I know this isn't sticker bombing but it's along similar lines.

I believe it's the same as the previous owner said he had the bonnet, roof and wheels resprayed. It is growing on me a little bit but I think a red one would be a little more subtle. oh, is there a quick way to check it's the aluminium one without removing it and putting it on the bathroom scales?

Hi guys, Hope you all are well. Been registered a while and been on the lookout for a lupo. Well, today was the day and after some consideration I am now the proud owner of an 02 GTI. Drove it back from Stoke to Birmingham and really loved it. I need to get rid of my E46 323ci before I can press this into daily service but I'm quite looking forward to it. It is very different to the BM though! Unfortunately these are the only pictures I have and it doesn't really do it justice. Been writing a to do list as it needs a few jobs.... Mirror adjusting switch is broken and needs replacing sun visor clip needs replacing passenger door car needs a couple of clips the radio needs the ariel cable attaching (i think....) Tints need removing from the rear windows (any ideas how to do this?) Also, im undecided about the bonnet, I think a red one would look much better. However, saying that the black one is growing on me. Red I badge has faded and needs replacing. Needs a driver's check strap Horn doesn’t work Need to get a spare key cut Finally, the wheels either need repainting so they look less like liquorice allsorts! Or replacing with TH Monos Fill with 95 ron and enjoy!!!! Also, I've got a couple of questions if anyone can help It has one little wing mirror (passenger side) and a larger one on the driver side is this normal? the bonnet pull feels like its about to snap off, is this normal Loads of people seem to think its ok to cut me up, I assume it's just jealousy but do you lot get this?
