  1. Thanks guys, im not sure how old the becker is but I know they made them in 2005/2006 and stopped making them a few years ago. Would the sound quality really be much better than the becker? Any other suggestions, remember oem look is king here... budget around £150.
  2. But why Ray? Is £200 too much for a potentially 5+ year old HU?
  3. I would of thought an engine conversion is genrally easier than a supercharge install?
  4. Hello chaps. Looking to upgrade my ice in the Lupo, currently running the standard Beta HU. Firstly, I will be upgrading the HU to get a CD player and upgrade in sound quality. What im looking for in order of preference. 1. Looks (More OEM the better) 2. sound quality 3. features Im looking at a few options; 1. Pioneer DEH-3200UB 2. Pioneer DEH-6200BT similar to above but with bluetooth bonus. 3. Old Second hand becker mexico pro - I used to have one of these in my fabia years ago. The best looking HU in my opinion as it has the true OEM look. Lacking in features, but top quality sound. Around £200 What are peoples opinions, will all the above options greatly improve the quailty firstly with the standard speakers, then also when I upgrade the speakers. I cant really find any reviews on the pioneers, are they good? Many thanks for now.
  5. I think they suit the lupo myself.. they are certainly cheap yes. I dont see the facination with BBS myself..
  6. I think most coilover kits are GTI or non GTI fitments. The Weitecs were anyway.
  7. The ones that have now been removed and were linked directly from his site.
  8. Mine was similar to above, with a slight bit more of rust popping out.

  14. Well it is almost identical to yours Sir I chatted to you at Ed38 when you were in the S&S queue and got some inspiration
  15. Been busy again today with car stuff. Firstly, had the two cambelts, water pump and aux belt done. Got the two belts in the kit and waterpump for £125 off lupoboz (Dale) on here, and £157 for the labour, aux belt, and coolant, which is quite reasonable I think. This afternoon ive been doing a few bits. Fitted seat covers to stop all the horse hairs and stains ruining the seats over the winter. Painted the calipers and edges of brake discs (hub part)... Before: (after a quick scrub, brush and a sand to remove some paint peeling off) After: (Quick splash of Hammerite smooth silver paint with a couple of brushes) Finally, finished the heatshield and re-fitted it. This is what it looked like before: A really dull finish with 10 years of wear on it. It had a load of black spot on it which were almost impossible to remove but came off eventually with much usage of an electric sander. I havent completely done the bottom part as you dont see it and its just not worth the effort. It had like a coating or maybe just an oxidisation on it which was real hard to remove before it could become shiny. Not for the faint heated! Days of work; its not perfect, but it will do. After: Thats all for now, currently refurbishing the front wiper blades.
  16. Yes that right mate, I may go along.. not been there in years... You going I take it?

  19. Gave a bit of a clean yesterday, cant believe how bright the paintwork is Spent a hour removing about 10,000 white horse hairs as well from inside! Also de-wipered the rear. The Wiper was a right arse to get off. The Halfords gromet is a bit grey looking, any ideas to make it a bit more black?
