  1. Yep I can understand that and I'd feel exactly the same. My lupo would no longer be perfect and I just wouldn't want it. Also something never taken into account with insurance. Yes the company pay out for the damage but you never get paid out for the reduction in value. If you sell the car and someone does a HPI check you are always going to get less for that car
  2. This was one toy I wanted but happily received it today so now I need to think of my next new toy.
  3. Well I took the rear NS wheel off and took the drum off. The shoes look NEW I mean brand spanking. If I hadn't had the car for the past 23k I'd have said they'd just been changed. So left them on. Gave it a blow out with some air. No signs of problems so it could have just been a stone. Also left the pads as upon closer inspection they still have over 5k left on em
  4. Yep rear screenwash pipe got the switch on mine wet. Replaced under warranty
  5. I'm thinking of buying a Mac next and using my copy of xp with bootcamp.
  6. No dash lights or fuel gauge movement makes me think ignition switch is faulty. When you turn ignition on can you hear the fuel pump prime? If so then then the only thing preventing the car starting is NO SPARK.
  7. Got some shoes. Hopefully they are right but I'll find out when fitting them tomo. Will keep club lupo posted. Cheers
  8. I got £100 stock take bonus £106 Christmas bonus. But thanks mainly to £140 NI reducion I only came out with about £40 more than I would in a normal month. Grr. On the plus side I did get a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 yr old single malt. A cheapo bottle of famous grouse. A bottle of Champagne and a box of throntons chocolates so can't complain i suppose
  9. I think my rear shoes need replacing. Starting to get a growling noise like metal on metal at the rear and I've never changed them. Car has now done 50K. I've got 4 possible Ferrodo part numbers for the shoes all listed for the 1.4TDi. I think the first number is for ABS. FSB408 - FSB191 - FSB622 - FDB1083 Does anyone know for certain which ones I require? Also how much of a job is it to change them. I did my Cinquecento sporting ones once and vowed never again. I'm also going to do the pads at the same time although I have done these before and it was a doddle. However at the time the 1.4TDi wasn't listed in books but after a lot of faffing I found Ferrodo FDB775 did fit. Now however there are listings and they say I need either FDB1517 or FDB1312
  10. and I found it really funny. YouTube vid says 2006 but I never saw it last year <center><object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm2gLmJD02w&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm2gLmJD02w&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object></center>
  11. Another vote for the LG Viewty. Fantastic phone.
  12. Would have paid for 3 nights on the piss for me
  13. Yes gusts of wind can buffer a car but a lupo isn't exactly a high sided lorry. I fail to see how (unless you were a foot away from the kerb) the wind could shove you into the kerb if you had both hands on the wheel and your whits about you. Don't think we're getting the full story here but at least you're ok.

    A-levels

I did 4 AS levels plus the general studies and key skills gumph. Went down to 3 A2's. Got OK results went to uni. 4 and a bit years later I've got a degree. Went for 2 job interviews got the second. The work is in my field but the pay is still under 20k which is annoying but the company is growing at an alarming rate and offering great training prospects. Plus the employers are really nice people. Going to have the longest Christmas holidays I've had since leaving school and I can't wait
  15. For the first time since I started my working life 8 years ago I actually have Christmas off. Got my degree and therefore a proper job this year. Get from the 21st Dec not back till 3rd Jan. Can't wait to just chill out.
  16. Not too sure how you can get on. If you've been stupid enough to link the image directly from their site then you've been in effect using their bandwidth everytime someone went on your mates site. They'd have cause for claim there alone. I can only assume you have done this as otherwise it would have been near impossible to just stumble across the image on your mates site
  17. 500 mile round trip for mine. Not letting it go no chance
  18. I ALWAYS hunt on the net to find stuff cheaper. I'm a proper bargain hunter and just tight as hell with money. If it'll save money i'll do it. Cause of having to scrimp for 4 years while at uni.

    Three

Gone with 02. £1 a month more but the phone cost £90 Cheeky gits have sent the first ebill as you pay in advance. My o2 bill runs from the 20th to the 19th or each month. As I took the contract out yesterday (the 19th at 1pm) they've charged me for a days contract lol. I haven't even got the phone yet. If they do this with everyone they are making a mint. Should I complain its only 81p but it's the principle

Anyone on 3? How have you found them? Any problems, I've heard good and bad things and not sure whether to go with them. I know a lot is coverage dependant just trying to get a better idea before I sign my life away for 18 months
  22. If you think about it petrol is a damn good investment if you've got enough money to buy a large quantity. Hold onto it for 10 years double your money
  23. The best and largest UK rc forum is RCMF
  24. Usually stronger and lighter being carbon fibre. Although it's mainly just "bling"
