  2. i was going to say but didnt get chance, im sure vw said they would repair pedal box problems gfree of charge, its like a recall but on a when it breaks basis. Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  3. HAHA border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  4. the one in banbury seem to be quite good, no idea on any of the others. Again its one of those tarred with the same brush situations. Altho got my arosa done at http://www.carmedic.ltd.uk/ (same sort of company) and oh my god! £150 to fix a dent in the wing and door (half the price of even my chepest quote), didnt pull any of it out just used filler, painted it the wrong colour twice and then left it looking really matt. Had to get a mate of mine to cut it back with a mop and some cutting compound.. looked ok after that but still had to go back like 3 times.. I think i was probably asking a bit to much from a stone chip repairer to do a dent in a wing! Driving around in a car that hasnt been repaired properly is not the greatest feelin. Best advise i can give is to go to a bodyshop that you know is good. I have 3 bodyshops in my local area and id only go to one of them. There work is brilliant and although its not cheap, the extra money youll pay is worht it to get it done right first time with NO hassle, and when I think of it that way I tend not to mind paying a bit extra. 5. Taking off the door cards a piece of cake. didnt take any pictures but on my GTI you need to pull off the front of the door handle, there are 2 screws in there (cross heads), then once they are out just pull on the handle and the door cad comes off (top one) as its all on plastic push clips. Bottom half has a bunch of screw along the underside which you need to remove then that one just slips off if you pull downwads on it. easy as pie Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  6. yeah sorry guys, i ran out of 2-stroke for the scooter! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Maybe next time. Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  7. i would but my cars in at vw AGAIN! what time and i may come down on the bike. Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  8. NICE, do you mind if i ask how much, just myt ate is looking for one at the moment. Also is the loop still for sale? Alfie
  9. i hatew it when that happens, found one in scotland and had no way of getting to it! on a COMPLETELY different note. Andyp i noticed the quote in your sig. Was that a problem you had as my leads keep popping out. Any other suggestion other than that one style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  10. Ive had one accident on a 400 already where i was going to work and hit a pot hole on a bend at about 80 and got thrown off the bike and broke 2 toes, my foot and lost skin on my legs, feet knees, and ass. Fair enough my fault for only wearing leather jackett jeans and trainers but still it hurt and i dont want to go through that again SO if i ride with a little more common sense when i go out i dont think its anything to be ashamed of. And the fact that i've lost a mate due to a bike accident also makes you wonder if its worth it. I typed in "biker dies" on the bbc news site and came up with 22 pages. LINK Ill totally agree that going out on the bike and going for a fast ride is really fun but I know what my limits are and how I need to ride responsably. Im not arguing that I have never sped, i doubt anyone can, im a good rider and can if i wanted to reach high speeds on my bike but I just DO NOT make a habbit of going over 100mph whenever im out on my bike. Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  11. if i go out on my bike and go down a dual carriageway at 160mph I always wonder what if i get caught. cos if i do im screwed. End of. I spend more of my time on bending twisty roads that going flat out. On the way back from a recent trip tho we came back on the motorway and we all sat under 100mph. for the very reason that its an instant ban over 100mph. I wont say i dont ever speed but i tend not to go MENTAL all the time. my mate said he loves his new bike but the problem is that hes always going 140 everywhere and he said to me that hes worried one day hes going to lose his licence. and the suggestion that every biker gos out and reaches 150+ style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> two of my mates on 400's can even reach those speeds. And boss on his bandit certanly has no intention of going 150mph anywhere. Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  12. errr no! I said if you get caught you deserve what you get. I dont make a habit of doing excessive speeds but if i do speed and get caught id deserved whatever i get. What I think is stupid is speeding and then crying about it afterward. you speed, break the law, get punished. And beside, doing anything over 100mph is stupid unless at 3 in the mornin when you can almost gaurentee you'll be safe. But to be honest im usually in bed at that time. just my 2 pence worth. Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  13. im sorry but if you go 118 mph on a road and get caugh then you should be expecting everything they give to you. potentially if the judge sees fit he could be in for some jail time. Couple of guys got caught near me on a straight dual carriageway clear day not "cauysing any harm" and got jailed for 28 days. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/3068731.stm I may or may not have once gone 150mph on my bike at some point on some road which may or may not have been private. And I thought to myself afterward what a stupid thing to do! if i'd been caught id have been shafted. I cant be doing with a 2 year ban and 28 days in the slammer! and an extended re-test at the end of it. Fair enough creeping up to 80-90 thats happens especially on a bike, i wont lie lol. wouldnt be any fun otherwise. BUT whatever speed you do if you get caught you've got to live with it and bite the bullet like those 2 guys did! Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  14. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> lol reminds me of a photoshop i once did style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  15. Its in the how to section, vw didnt reset mine at 30k so i did it. Took me a few tries as i didnt have the key in the correct position the first time, but it only took me a few minutes to figure out. When I had my arosa I serviced it myself and then took it to the AA garage at halfords and asked them and before I even had time to blink they had done it.. takes like 30 seconds Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
  16. id be sriously interested yes but would be dependent on price Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />
