  3. Page 36, half way down. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=48787&st=700 I would've thought some tyre dresser and yes, let the tyres down (when they're new, they ain't full of air) but I don't know. But check the Emz's link. Smye
  4. For me, it was a about two Mondays ago. My car was pretty frozen over. I went to college that day and didn't drive until the next day, Tuesday. On Tuesday, the weather condition was the same, and my car was frozen over yet started no bother? Sorry to Nufab for hi-jacking his thread! Smye
  5. Emz, do you have to treat the tyres to some lubrication of some sort to prevent cracks etc or will they be alright? I like the ingenuity of your wheel holder! Kudos! Smye
  6. Hi folks. Word of caution. I assumed that when your tracking was off, both wheels either point to the left or the right when the steering wheel sits straight/true/level. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Both front wheels can be pointing in their own direction independent of each other when the tracking is off, which will put stress on the tyres and possibly other components. I had my car pre-MOT'd the other day and when they set the lasers/kit on the wheels, they were confused - turns out my tracking was that far off the laser/kit wasn't able to do it's business lol. My wheels were miles off. Sorted now likes. Smye
  7. I've got an '05 Rozzer with just under 30k miles on the clock - it wouldn't start the other day either! The starter motor was turning over but the engine wasn't latching on and going under it's own steam. After a while, it went under it's own steam at what I can only describe as "half-idle" speed before stalling, about 8 seconds after starting - it was as if it only had the power of 2 pistons running/firing or something. It done this a few times before finally starting. I've no idea about a fuel pump noise. I had it pre-MOT'd and all was fine. I'm aiming at getting a 30k service and, money depending, may change the spark plugs; Fife SEAT told me today on the phone that they should get changed at 40k miles or 4 years, whatever comes first. I'm really clueless about both our situations - hope you get it sorted or it doesn't happen again! Smye
  8. Alright folks? I haven't been on for a while as I just get the updates via email :-). I thought I'd pop on and update what's happening with my motor. It's pretty much the same old. I've been running the standard wheels for a while as I wanted to refurb the P-Slots. So I took them off months and months ago and until recently, sat in the basement. I had an operation nearly 2 months ago and was off work for 2 weeks recovering. So on the weekend before I was to go back to work, I decided to do some work with the P-Slots. I've got 2 wheels to a semi-decent standard which are sittig in my room and the other 2 which were in the process of getting the face shined up. I REALLY need a machine of some sort to rotate the wheels, like a lathe or pottery wheel - I could do it like this but don't fancy the cost of fuel! My car is now approaching 30k miles. It's due it's MOT mid December and I'm going to get it a full service hopefully. I think it was last Monday 8th November that my car wouldn't start! I was just about to set off for college and the car didn't start. That Monday was really cold, my car was frozen over to ****. I tried starting it and all I got was the starting motor turning over but the engine would not latch on and go under it's own steam. I was shocked. I waited a few seconds, then easily pumped the accelerator whilst holding the key - the engine sort of started, it was as if it reached what I would describe as half idle speed, maintained this for a few seconds then stopped. It done this a couple of times then eventually came to life so I gassed the pedal a bit then let the engine run for a minute before setting off. On the morning of Tues 9th Nov, the weather was the same. Yet my car started no bother?! It made me really confused as to why the car wouldn't start on Monday! So, my car is getting a free pre-MOT check, and will then hopefully get an MOT and service at roughly the same time. But there we go, a wee update. No major plans for the car. It's a 1.4 8v Auto and I fancy a more powerful manual ride so will just keep the car looking good and healthy till about late 2012 where I'll probably look about getting rid of it; this is my plan at the moment. Cheers. Smye
