  1. is the relay built into the hazard switch? I can't remember what they look like!
  2. Thanks We're just at Combe at the moment, there have been talks of maybe doing a visit to another circuit but it hasn't gone anywhere yet. Ah yeah cool!! He's been going well this year. Good stuff, there seems to be a few extra cars already next year
  3. nope, don't see any point. No point in adding extra unsprung weight. Yeah I've used them all season! fluid is very important too
  4. You don't need to make the rears larger, they don't do enough to justify putting anything massive on. I run 280mm on the front and standard rears and never had any problems. As for the pads get some Ferodo DS2500 pads and Motul fluid, and just a decent set of grooved discs
  5. thanks everyone was exciting to get a ride around on the winners car as well lol
  6. As some of you may have seen on facebook some of you I managed to win my class on Sunday Qualifying Fastest Lap - The race - I qualified in 2nd just a tenth behind 1st and we were lined up next to each other on the grid. I had a few gear selection issues during qualifying which turned out to be because my clutch had fully un-adjusted itself and I was a little low on gearbox oil so topped that up at the same time... The race I got a pretty good start and managed to get into first in class pretty much straight away and with a bit of luck Russell getting blocked by others. Had a little tap with Paul Ashton into Quarry on the 2nd lap...after that it was pretty free running, I could see Russell starting to catch me behind but he made a mistake out of camp which put him back to a safe distance! Apart from that I was getting pretty frustrated behind the orange Polo that obviously had huge amounts of power but wasn't too great in the corners...he locked up going into the Esses and I misjudged my braking/turn in and ended up on the grass myself but kept infront and Dave Challenger came past shortly after in his white Leon, but after a bit of confusion with the fire car I think I passed on the braking point into Quarry and managed to keep it infront and then only really had to deal with being lapped by a few others and the carnage that was presenting itself around the track!! Then went out for a ride on the winners car and stand up on the podium Was a great end to the season and makes all the effort we put in worth it!! Want to say a special thanks to Jay for helping me out all year, couldn't do it without him!!
  7. not much point in chipping the standard ecu. exhaust manifold, exhaust, induction kit, suspension are the best places to start and should keep you busy for a while
  8. either your water pumps dead...or have you actually got any coolant left? Also is there any water in your oil (check inside your oil cap) or oil in water etc
  9. yeah just buy some gasket sealant. You'll get it from any car place, halfords, euro car parts etc etc something like.. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_173106_langId_-1_categoryId_255217
  10. I had mine rebuilt at the same time, so we took the gears from the polo and put it into my Lupo box. Looking at the boxes I'm pretty sure they had the same housing and everything, the only difference was the selector on the polo was rod and on the lupo its cable. However I think it may have been possible to unbolt the rod assembly and bolt on the cable assembly
  11. Sorry I didn't get a chance last night. I run the CWN gears and final drive, which is from a 1.3 polo. There basically the shortest gears in an 085 box that I could find!
  12. I can get them for you at home. I looked at loads of gearbox ratios when I was building my box so should have some useful info for you
  13. Manifold, Exhaust, Throttle Bodies, Cams, Head work etc. Very expensive though!
  14. whats the RMS value of the sub? if you get the model number off the back you can loko it up
  15. What Rich said Oil breather often get like this, just clean it out. I take it there's nothing inside the oil cap?
  16. haha yeah mate the front running cars do fly. Most of them at 1.8L engines and above or turbo'd cars. The 206 is a 2.0 N/A car but as you can tell its tuned lol. There's also a few 106's running silly power!
  17. I'm hoping so People have told me they gained x number of seconds but we'll see!! its a gripper diff so its a plated diff so nothing like the quaife
  18. haha yeah i think one of those would improve my race LSD
  19. Got a bit of a new toy going in this week This isn't actually mine but the same thing
  20. yeah I'd have thought for a learner car you'd want it pretty standard? 195/55/15 is probably why its rubbing. You should be ok with 195/45/15
  21. You need to get it scanned yourself and see what actual fault codes are on there....next time you put a car in tell them not to carry out any work till you approve it over the phone as well
  22. Have you investigated why they actually went off? Airbags shouldn't really deploy at 15mph hitting a bump, expect something else is wrong as well
  23. whats it say in here... http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=attachments
