  1. my engine wont start as told in one of the threads below, replaced the coilpack as was advised by several mechanics and it still wont start. been told the other thing it might be is the crank sensor, but im not sure where this is.. any advice?
  2. hi all i was just wondering how to get the locks out of the door as they are both jammed and wont unlock, has anyone had any problems like this before? Thanks, James
  3. haha yeah we did, it stopped working altogether now even with the airbox off, there is no spark in the plugs, anyone know whether replacing the coilpack will help? heard its a fairly common problem with these cars
  4. hi all i have a lupo 1.0 petrol which started to take a few times to start and then wouldnt start at all.. my grandad is a mechanic and said that it might be the crank sensor, however, i one of the spark plugs out and earthed it and when trying to start the engine, it sparked.. this suggests that the crank sensor is fine. so we took the air box off and had another look, couldnt see much so i started it with the air box off, started first time, started it a few times to make sure that it wasnt just a fluke, worked every time. so i put the air box back on and it wouldnt start again, so checked the spark plugs again and now they arent sparking.. all seems a bit odd, has anyone got any ideas? thanks, James
  5. nah i watched it happen from inside my house, if i went out when i saw it i would of gone mad!! but had to go and get dressed because i was still in my dressing gown hahaha
  6. yeah they have accepted all liability for it and are paying for all the damage
  7. forgot to mention.. the car is being assessed tomorrow by an engineer to evaluate whether the car will need writing off.. it shouldnt do but needs checking for creasing in the roof and rear quarter panels
  8. yep me too man, just got her back on the road as well! the missus is buying me a new stereo for my birthday which is next monday bless her;).. its a slight upgrade http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/16235.html i think i'll remember to take it out next time!
  9. i do like the look of the quirky oversized badge like you say, but i think that the smaller badge smartens the back of the car up quite nicely thanks for all the comments
  10. right so an update.. not that i'd like to have an update like this... been having a bit of **** luck with this little car, we got delivered a new washing machine yesterday and the delivery lorry reversed straight into my car :/ watched it go straight into it and there was nothing that i could do.. was like slow motion! needs new boot lid, new rear windscreen and probably a new rear bumper due to creasing :/ pics: im gutted to say the least, only been back on the road a week since it got the window smashed being broken into Cheers, James
  11. nice one but what do i ask for? hahahaha
  12. mine does this too, i have the standard tweeters still in though. such a horrible noise
  13. cheers man, they sound decent, as the lupos dont have rear speakers they just add a bit more atmosphere if that makes sense haha... it wasnt my original plan but the guy who i bought the sub and amp off just gave them me and im not really a fan of the 6x9's in the parcel shelf look! cheers for looking
  14. agreed man, even though mines not what i hoped for, when i show people they look amazed that i built it haha
