Funnily enough I have some old hair extensions in my boot, some high heels, an empty bottle of engine oil, a broken coil pack, a wing mirror interior cover, a broken car stereo in the boot, jump leads, a broken brake light switch, all my insurance documents, a un opened tax disc holder, a massive carrier bag scrunched up, lots of old magic trees one tissue coins envelopes CD's and a spider living inside the wing mirror =D

I'm 5ft and struggle to reach the pedals, it's quite deceiving! LOL I wish I was a little bit taller... (excuse the 90's rap lyrics)

GSF car spares if you have one near you they specialise in german car spares and i have bought most of my parts from them, they are much cheaper than VW and have had everything i have needed so far in stock, it's worth a try. I need new o2 sensors, purely because my old exhaust was practically hanging off by a thread and it completely messed up my sensors causing my fuel to run lean (according to Vag Com) plus I have had a de-cat which doesn't help...so i plan to go to GSF for my sensors... although they do say it is best to get genuine sensors as opposed to copies, but being a student i have no option... let me know how you get on =)

no the fault for the EGR disappears and doesn't come back, i too have also had a de-cat and now have a permanent light that stays on because there is a sensor after the cat.

got my rear pads for 20 quid.

Well yes, i quite simply answered the question, I noted one of the major differences between the 1.4s and the sport, sorry if this offended certain individuals causing quite an unreasonable reaction.

My lupo is slammed and I got it stuck with each wheel either side of the corner of a steep curb, I couldn't go forwards or backwards and nearly burnt my clutch out, along with completely f***ing up my sill LOL some oap ended up helping me...women drivers eh!

my favourite part is the boot, where it only has the VW badge, and people say oh your polo looks nice, I always say you mean lupo, and they say yeah your polo!! =)

How is that sad, i bought my lupo for many many reasons not just because it is a rarer more sought after model, i wanted a gti but they were all out of my price range and so i opted for the next best thing...I could have gone for a 1.4 s but i thought why when I can get a sport for just that bit more money?? To me thats quite a logical thing to do... plus i plan to do quite a fair bit with my car.

There are less sports around than the 75bhp model making them more sought after and worth just that little bit more =) for me that was a big must have

No that isn't true, my boyfriend owns an octavia vRS 1.8T 20v petrol. The Fabia vRS only comes in diesel though but i meant the octavia, its the exact same engine as the cupra, but smaller turbo i believe.

I have seen a Lupo with a 1.8T 20v engine in it, with uprated brakes all round and decent tyres...if i remember correctly it was pushing out 260bhp with 17psi, you could easily get your hands on a cupra/vRS engine at quite a low cost i reckon and if you can do the conversion yourself you save a fair bit of money there. Oh Ha Ha James, very funny I'm glad you can see the funny side to my damage lol, think i may have to use your vag com, although i know it will open a whole can of worms for my car...and ignorance is bliss right now

A quick google comes up with varying answers from 'Electronic Power Control' to 'Electric Potentiometer Control' so it may be to do with the throttle considering there is a loss in power but you are right i think VAG COM is in need here, will get in touch with someone about using theirs. Cheers =)

Thanks Jonny, well i can't get a code because its a different light to the engine management light, and it goes off when the engine restarts does anyone know what 'epc' stands for??

cleaned my egr valve and the light went permanently my boyfriend used carb cleaner... however i have since blanked it off and have noticed a slight increase in power, useless and not needed in my eyes, more trouble than their worth =)

Nothing to do with weight as such but I have noticed a few things that VW have done to restrict the sport, for instance there was a pipe going from the cold air intake straight to the manifold getting warm air from that and pushing it through to the air filter. This surely wasn't needed and so took it off, and changed the air filter and noticed a remarkable difference in performance. Also the egr valve is another useless, restriction.

If it ain't rubbin' it ain't dubbin' lol...Mine are on the max, and i cant full lock my steering wheel =D

Basically I have a Lupo Sport, and every time i put my foot down the revs go high, and the epc light comes on, but the power isnt necessarily reflecting the rev count... Then when I restart the engine the light goes off?? Has anyone experienced this and does anyone know what on earth this could be? It really is starting to annoy me now. Thanks in advance =)

Went to VW they want £92 for a front bumper, £70 for a wing and £64 for the grill panel, looks like i may have to keep looking for either a lupo breaking, or replica parts

Thanks, i'm just about to go the VW Birmingham now, need to get quotes for a bumper, grill panel and wing hope it isn't going to kill me, pockets aren't that deep Cheers for the help though guys, where would we be without CL eh!!

Yes, I have yet to get a quote from the stealers, I have been put off from going to VW however, because of the silly prices i was quoted for my heated seats switch, which they wanted £120 for!! amongst a couple of other things, £30 for wing mirror glass etc I will be going there though before buying from ebay, as i would much rather a genuine VW part, which brings me to this question, do all standard bumpers fit the lupo sport, and will the lower spoiler fit it correctly, as the bumper i have seen on ebay is for a standard lupo...are the dimensions the same?
