Ok guys your search for a stainless cat back system for the lupo gti will be over soon......

Spoke to scorpion for the past 3 months and now have a date at their R&D department to get an exhaust made for the gti.

my car goes in there on the 24th of november for a week and comes back with a new system, which unlike the home made powerflow attempts is real top quality stainless steel not cheap stainless theat still rusts. and also is guaranteed to increase performance as it will be rolling road tested before and after the exhaust has been developed.

soo keep your eyes peeled for it and i'll try and give you a part number off them to help you to order one!

was speakin to a guy called alan i think at scorpion a few months back, as was man3 b 4 me, they were very slow and i did not like the idea of bein without wheels 4 up 2 a week, also how many times do you think your car will go through the rev limeter while they ave it? lots i think!

What's with the delay @ Scorpion? I was told it would b on sale by mid November. Anyway as soon as u get a release date and a product number let us all know, I could do with fitting it over xmas.

i look at it this way yeah they have to test it by revving it but if it's there for a week it'd be revved a lot less than if i was driving it a week.

plus i save myself £300+

the delay was because of the new R&D place being set up aparently

What does it sound like at: idling, 4000rpm and 6800rpm?

well it's not illegal like a lot of exhausts because it is still below the legal volume.

this exhaust gives the car a deeper note that isn't annoying when driving but is noticable from the outside. i like the sound as it gives the engine the sound of more power without it sounding like a boy racers nova

the rear lights are just 3mm strips of silver covering the lights with small gaps between them

Im starting to notice a general thing here, on Lupo's when getting an aftermarket exhaust fitted the result isnt the nova / escort boy racer angry wasp sound. Its a deep nice sound.

Maybe its having good VW engines? Interesting how no one has ended up with the rasping, tinny, high pitch noise style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I like the look of the roll cage, is it a full one or is it just a half cage?

Im thinking about removeing the rear seats adding a couple of buckets and a roll cage. Was it expensive?

the roll cage is a fake it's a saxo one made to fit

the exhaust give me quite a bit mor epower but not much noise!

dont know a price yet but if you ring motech they'll probably know!

Alex How much is the Scorpy and is it available now. I was thinking of Powerflow as I had one on my Golf.

i would really advise not to go for powerflow.

the scorpion should be available now the people to rign are motech i dont have a number but you should find it easily.

dont have a part number or price.

at least the scorpion is made properly out of real stainless steel and does not knock like a lot of quickly made powerflow efforts.

put it this way my car was at scorpion for a week to get mine done with carefull measuremnts to make sure the tailpipe was central and it didn't nock etc.

wheras a powerflow exhaust takes about 3 hours.

I think u'd agree there's a lot more work gone into a scorpion exhaust than a powerflow one.
