  1. I'm new to the Lupo scene and need some advice, I'm looking at buying a 1.0E, can anyone tell me how low I can go on 'KW V1 Coilovers' with 15x7" Rota Flashbeck's. I don't want silly low as my town in full of pot holes and speed bumps. Any help appreciated!
  2. hi, when im installing my aftermarket stereo i have a problem i was wondering someone could help me with. when i turn my car off, when i next come to my stereo it has lost all radio channels. i heard something about switching the red and yellow wires but im unsure how to take them out of the plastic plug as i dont want to break them. my second issue is when i come to wiring my subwoofer, and attach my control wire to the blue remote going into the back of the head unit, i have a constant live. all the wires from the actual lupo are different colours to the adapter plug wires going into the back of my headunit, and seem to be in different places. any help i would really appreciate! i have a sendai headunit( bad i know but it has front aux) thanks!
  3. Hi, After being let down several times by a mobile immobiliser specialist does anyone know or can help me with getting a Siemens Immobiliser on Lupo 2000 plate, i just need the unit re-programmed and a new chip programmed in Norfolk? Cheers J
  4. Needs a front drivers side wheel bearing. Needs a front drivers side ball joint Heater motor doesn't work on positions 1 and 2 How much do you think this should cost to fix. Any help thanks.
  5. Evening All! I've had my 1.0 Loop for a few months now and only had a couple of little gripes. The main one is the pesky Emmisions warning light! Can anyone point me in the right direction, or if anyone near Glasgow has a VAGCOM and fancies helping me out. Here's the history: It came on just after I picked it up, seemed to be on motorway journeys. Put it in for a service, seemed to run fine. Light was off. Month later, light came back on, motorway again. I don't rag it, usually sit about 60mph (It's a 1.0 after all!) Seemed to run ok for a few weeks then the engine wasn't playing nice. Sounded like a misfire (I have a very basic knowledge), put it in for another look. This time, HT leads changed and the Coil Packs were changed as there was a fair bit of corrosion on a bit of it. Running fine again. A week after (now) the light is back on again. Still seems to be running fine though. Any ideas? I also got a puncture, but I know how to sort that out! Ta!
  6. hi, just wanted to know which subs are the CHEAPEST and BEST VALUE also if youve got any pics?? could be nice to look at what could be... Cheers in advance, Jamie
  7. hi there, got a mk1 arosa 1.4 8v. looking at dropping in a 6n 1.4 16v. does anyone know if this is a straight fit? cheers
  8. Right so for next year I want some nice oem style wheels! I would like something different but would really like some bbs rw! And I don't have the money for wheels like bbs rs! I woul spend like 300/400£ I guess. What's your suggestions Joe
  9. Followed the thread on here and everything appeared to be fine. Shut and opened the car door and no problems to report. However upon locking and unlocking the car the door won't open now Where have i gone wrong? Also any advise on opening the door without drilling the delocked item out. Thanks Sam
  10. I'm taking my lessons and I have a 1.0l lupo se. I've been trying to get quotes for once I've passed and they all come to around £4000, Third Party Fire & Theft as well. My mum and dad have told me I can get insured with i-Kube for £2000, except I can't drive between 11pm-5am. I don't find this too much of a problem because it will work out cheaper in the long run. I was just wondering if anyone knew if they allowed mods?
  11. hi all, bent my rear axle need to replace it can i replace it with a polo rear axle (easier to get hold of) or can i convert a drum axle to disc break axle? thanks Ted
  12. Hey, I'm Jack, 17 and just bought a 1.0L Lupo SE for my first car! It's in perfect condition and only has 15,000 miles. I want to get it lowered with a nice set of BBS or BBS look-a-like rims on it. Any advice on costs would be much appreciated. Really excited to get driving it.
  13. Hi all, need some help i have bent my rear axle on my Lupo 1.4 16v sport. I need help in info like if i can use a polo's rear axle because i need to find one with disc brakes or if i can convert a drum axle to a disc brake one? please help Thanks Ted
  14. Hi, new to the site and new to the Volkswagen and Lupo scene! I brought my lupo for a bargain price of £850! Althought she's got a bit of discolouration and a few knocks (and after having an entire new exhaust and brake system fitted) but she's a beaut and runs lovely. I was wondering if anyone could advise me on some mods? I have a few ideas myself: white roof, white wheels (cav slabs, yellow bbs, polo bbs split, vintage star mag or RONAL TEDDYS!), smoothed boot, coilovers and I've already got colour coded bumpers thankfully. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and I could also do with a point in the right direction with the coilovers on top and reliable makes etc.
