  1. Hi, After being let down several times by a mobile immobiliser specialist does anyone know or can help me with getting a Siemens Immobiliser on Lupo 2000 plate, i just need the unit re-programmed and a new chip programmed in Norfolk? Cheers J
  2. Norwich, Norfolk way too far away from anybody that knows about auto electrics
  3. Nobody can help? I suppose off to the yellow pages for a auto locksmith
  4. Hi, I had an intermitant fault with my car lupo 1.4 2000, it would start and cut out after a couple secs and now its doing it all the time so i can't move my car from my drive. A mechanic friend with vag-com came around and found this: Address 01: Engine Controller: 036 906 014 AM Component: MARELLI 4CV 2801 Coding: 00001 Shop #: WSC 01236 1 Fault Found: 17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer P1570 - 35-00 - - Readiness: N/A Control Module Part Number: xxxxxxxxxx Component and/or Version: IMMO VWZ3Z0C1658150 V71 Software Coding: 09600 Work Shop Code: WSC 00000 2 Faults Found: 01176 - Key 07-00 - Signal too Low He said i needed to get bag tacho to read the pin, so ordered an ebay cable {one-off} and tried it but get error or access denied when trying to read the pin. Do i need to have a working key to get the pin? What can I do next is it a call to an auto locksmith needed? Anyone local to Norwich who can help would be most appreciated. Laters J
  5. chrome @ aerocoat.net, like polishing only takes less time...maybe even cheaper if you have to take it to someone
  6. i've used aerocoat a couple of times and the aeromax (chrome) finish is impressive! i'd recommend those guys to anyone. i'll post some pictures if once i get around to it. You can also go for a black chrome which is a black base coat with a thin dusting of chrome. it looks good but not as bling as the pure chrome finish. j
  7. you know you can powder coat chrome now, i've just had my steffan's done - check out www.aerocoat.net
  8. Thanks for the advice. The standard speakers are pretty good then? Well thats just saved me some money. I might buy one of these and try and integrate it into the dash then - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/676963/o2-joggler-half-price-in-store-and- cheers j
  9. Hi, I'm not really big on car audio but I've done a lot of digging about 6.5" speakers on this forum and google but couldn't find any recent info about midrange <£50 speaker choices. Basically i'm after the best sounding 6.5" speaker for around £50 to replace the standard speakers. Can someone let me know the best buy or point me in the right direction? Cheers J
  10. thanks for the update, i was planning to take photos and do a write up but got carried away and installed it all in about 2.5hours. Pretty straight forward in the end. j
  11. hi, i fitted a rclick kit on my lupo sport and followed this thread - Remote Central Locking. I would defo recommend them. I advised my mate to get one as well but he hasn't got the motors in the doors like mine. dj-jay do you have any photos of where you mounted your motors in the doors? cheers j
  12. how about chrome? you can now chrome powder coat, check out http://www.aerocoat.net i'm due to get my steffan bcw's back next week all chrome'd up i'll post some pictures when i get them. j

  14. Hi, I've owned my lupo for a few months now and today i noticed a wet patch under the car. I felt gutted. So i quickly lifted the bonnet and got a torch out but couldn't find a leak, so i jacked the car up to see if i could spot the source but it isn't clear the whereabouts of the leak. It looks like the leak is coming from under the cambelt plastic housing and its all over the wishbone, can anyone with more experience help me out? Cheers j
