  1. Was this done just holding the GoPro in your hand? It seems like it, it's very shaky!
  2. Not surprised it went so quickly at that price!
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/VW-LUPO-1999-2005-CRYSTAL-CLEAR-SIDE-REPEATERS-1-PAIR/331305403637?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&_trksid=p5197.c100068.m2280&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140211130857%26meid%3D4b7ce979a7034d00954f1a5db67f6e3d%26pid%3D100068%26clkid%3D3254347207624523570&_qi=RTM2063723 - they look the same anyway... Could be wrong You're right though they're miles better than the frosted ones!
  4. Sure you can get clear side repeaters already on ebay for £9.95 incl. postage. Link to follow.
  5. Hi, Got a 1600 Lupo GTI engine, currently got drive by wire throttle body, want to change this to cable. I'm aware some lupos do exist with cable , anyone know what parts could be used?

Welcome! What's the roll cage, home made?
  7. Welcome! Nice, I also had a 1.0 for my first car, what colour? Any plans for it?
  8. Sounds good! Get some pictures on
  9. Ideally you'd want to cut the bumper and put it in properly, IMO it would look weird sat below the bumper. Also not sure if you'd be best cutting the wheel well out to get an easier route, or at least making it shallower (And running a space saver instead of a full size spare - if you're not doing already)
  10. If the units the same, I have the rear wiper motor off a Lupo.
  11. Brakes now connected and bled , could do with doing again though over the weekend as there still seems to be a little air in the system. Ordered new discs for the rear which should be here soon. couldn't resist testing the interior light using 8x AA batteries, will be much brighter off the car battery!
  12. Sorry excluding the GTI which has a lot of aluminium parts. Or of course the 3L, which isn't very likely anyway as already mentioned they're quite rare and mainly abroad.
  13. This ^ but to be honest if it's being used for a project then you're gonna be stripping it all out anyway, in which case they're all the same (and you can make more probably selling parts off a higher model ) more info go needed though really.
  14. Rear brake callipers sandblasted earlier, just painted them and looking to fit a bit later on.
  15. The MSA blue book doesn't specify which way they have to be fitted to meet the regulations, and having looked into it as the harness bar is so close to the seats anyway, they are fine fitted parallel. Yes the windscreen bar passes right past where the normal light would be mounted, this one will sit on the main hoop of the roll cage. When are you looking to fit your cage then?
  16. Cheers! Ah okay, I've seen a few cars with them parallel so just did them that way. Will have a look! Also forgot to mention, I designed a bracket to hold an interior light and got it printed, small details! Impressed with it, first time I've had anything 3D printed!
  17. Lots of progress this weekend! Seats & belts are in. Fire extinguisher plumbed into the engine bay with both interior & exterior pull cords fitted. Brake lines now running all the way through, and all clipped neatly down the centre tunnel. Sandblasted one of the rear callipers earlier, going to do the other tomorrow & then the car can be put back on it's wheels and taken for the first time in a long time!
  18. As far as I know they don't, only the polo one which is effectively the same anyway for most things.
  19. Welcome! Got any plans for it?
  20. Hi Fixit, 100% it is behind the ashtray. Are you looking behind the ashtray as in within the centre console (behind the heater controls) ..... Where the cigaretter lighter is, the tray sticks out, use fingers on the front edge of it closest to the gearstick and just pull. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3y8heySFc2s/VDA2m4ukd_I/AAAAAAAABRk/hWY3_B5GKc8/s8000/0123_gr.png

    VAG COM help

Check all the connections going to your EGR Valve... And in VCDS/Vagcom you should be able to run some tests to see if the valve is able to move. I had a similar issue and although I can't remember the exact fault code I replaced the EGR valve and it's been fine ever since. About £15 from a breakers and half an hours work.
  22. That's where the heater matrix lives, might be tight... Not to say it wouldn't be cool if you could get it in there! Give it a go I suppose and let us know how you get on
  23. Is this a micro-amp? There really isn't a lot of room in the dashboard.. Where in there did you plan on putting it? I attached mine to the back of the rear left seat... but I've seen quite a few in the spare wheel well also.
