You was right to walk away my mate drove 5 hours to buy a RS Turbo and when he got there it was a shed. The guy lied about the price the body work wasnt straight it had had a respray that had a worse finish than if you had spat paint at it and he still bought it. Few months on and it has spent 60% of its time off the road with various issues worse of which is when being ragged it will last 2 mins then go into limp mode where the car tries to flood the engine. My mate says this is because of mapping but in real terms its cos its a turd and he would be better off waling away like you did!

As for the car if someone picked that up for £2500 they could easily have it at the same standard as a 6K car for less money just by doing bits themselves and not being a cowboy. Cat C isn't too bad and if its for a engine converted track car why worry save yourself 3K for the conversion.

Threaten them with the citizens advice bureau or small claims court. Generaly companies hate any legal action paticualy franchises as its alot of hassel and looks bad when VW find out.

I saw a guys wheel come off today was just looking accross a road and noticed a wheel rolling along without a car attatched then a few seconds after a car scraping along with one missing.

Tehehe very true. I do like BBS rims and they do suit alot of dubs but I also think if aliens invade and saw our way of life they would think BBS is the standard and VW wheels are optional extras. Saying that i wouldnt let it put me off buying a set if the right ones came up. No point getting something not as good for the sake of trying to be different.
