clbrof
Hi allI have just changed my headunit from a 20w Goodmans to a 50w Pioneer. The block connectors all went in just fine and the radio worked straight away. However it kept forgetting the preset stations time etc everytime I turned the ignition off.I mulitmetered the red and yellow wires off the block connector and found the red wire always provides 12.xxV and the yellow one would only give 12.xxV when the key was in.I thought that the yellow wire was for memory and the red for when the cars ignition is on?I swapped the red and yellow wires over, so now it operates as it should now. Can anyone see any detrimental effects of my doing so?And why are the colours of my wires opposite to what they should be?
stator
You did the right thing, everyone has to do it Some car manufacturers like being difficult, at least they didn't swap 12v and ground though
