Not Lupo related, but maybe someone will know? The Passat (2001 b5.5) cluster died, replaced with second hand, but as they are linked with the ECU and transponder keys , it doesn't work (immobiliser active flashes). Will replacing ECU and keys to suit replacement cluster (all off same donor vehicle) allow car to run ? Thanks

Okay that sort of sets my mind at ease. I have a scanner and there are no fault codes, so hopefully the car is an 'early' model. Thanks for the info!

Just noticed my engine warning light never comes on? This cant be normal on my lupo 1.4 tdi? Could it have been disabled?

Thanks for the advice. I have ordered a VagTacho V5.0 supposedly the lastest version and compatible with the Lupo's Motometer dash. Ill let you know how it goes.

My lupo is a 2001 . its behind by about 95k miles.

Hi The clocks on my lupo tdi have been changed and are showing a lower milage than what it should be. I want to up the milage to what it should be. Would something like vagtacho 3.01 be something that I can use to do so?

Hi My speedo has completely died and its is definitely not an electrical fault as I have worked through Autodatas analysis of all the wiring for the fault code. The speedo drive on the back of the diff on the gearbox no longer seems to be attached to anything.... and turns freely inside its hole. Other than taking the gearbox off and splitting it is there any other way to replace the speedo drive? Also does anyone have Elsawin? Would it be possible to get some screenshots of exactly what I'm looking at? Thanks! Colin

Just had the instrument panel tested. Nothing wrong with the cluster. Just doing the wiring checks off the ecm connector block and the connector off the speedo drive. Will clean up battery earth too. However I just popped the cap off the speed drive and the rotating magnet with the square drive that drops I to the gearbox is now twiddling freely ? Whereas before it wasn't..... Seems like a mechanical failure

My speedo became unreliable and started to drop to 0mph. Now will only work when engine is warm. Have replaced the gear driven speedo impulse sensor at back of gearbox. I believe it is a wiring fault. Does anyone have access to elsawin or another resource? I cannot find any wiring diagrams anywhere ! Thanks

Hi Looking for some steel rims to fit my TDI, will any 14" steels do? I know 13" dont fit because of the bigger discs on the front. Any specific size I should look for from a polo, for example? Thanks
