Hi! Just bought a Lupo, and it was in pretty good condition. A few things to fix, but nothing major. One thing i can not figure out is how to fix the interior light, which is living its own life!

It is the speedomer light and the interior buttons that keep turning on and of. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesnt. When i drive, and drive over a bump, it may turn on or of. So i think it is just a loose contact somwere ehich is causing the problems.

I just dont know where the contact can be? Anyone who know? or may have a suggestion?

Hmm sounds odd, i'd get it scanned and get the code and write it down and google it.

It sounds like something is lose possibly/hopefully.

Push in the main light switch and twist left and the whole light unit comes out, ensure that the loom is properly connected - could disconnect then reconnect

The light behind the heater controls has a bulb which can often wiggle it's way out. I fixed mine by simply pushing back in.

No idea about the back dashlight though, loose contact somewhere I'm guessing.

Interior light is triggered by the microswitch in the door lock , the locks suffer with bad solder joints on the connectors , whip the lock out and have at it with the soldering iron or buy a new lock £40 or thereabouts off eBay.

The dash lights may be caused by a knackered bulb , sometimes the filament breaks and makes contact as and when it feels like.

You may want to check the dash light dimmer , give it a good twiddle or bypass it
