Jinx61
Just wondered what other people have used to go with the factory fitted central locking? Was looking at this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151078371987?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Skezza
The flip key kits have a fairly poor reputation.http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/95538-how-to-fitting-aftermarket-remote-central-locking-step-by-step-photos/http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Car-Remote-Control-Central-Door-Lock-Locking-Keyless-Entry-System-UK-/290804035020?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item43b5456dcc
Jinx61
I saw your write up and its brilliant, will definitely be using it!How have you found your kit? Any issues?I liked the flip key, what are the pins that wear out on them? is that the only issue?

Any issues?I liked the flip key, what are the pins that wear out on them? is that the only issue? No issues with the kit I'm using I believe it's the pin yes, if you look around the forum, there is a fairly widespread view that the pin eventually wears out and the key won't sit flush with the remote. I don't think it snaps or anything too drastic.
JoeA
i bought a kit from rclick.co.ukworks really well
matt123roll
I'm with Joe, Rclick kit is the best value and easy to fit. Running 4 months with no issues, can't argue for like £30. Flip key is a waste of time I only use it as a fob to be honest

Jinx61
Thats a shame as that would be the only reason I would get the rclick kit. I may just go with the kit Skezza used.Joe how did you mod your key?
JoeA
I got two, one i modded with very hot solder, basically wedling the blade in place, the other with glue. The glued one is actually alot stronger. No issues since. The problem is the blade is held in by two terrible screws so can get floppy and fall out. Saying that the OEM key for my mums MK4 GTTDI isnt much better.
