rmumblade Posted July 22, 2013 Report Share Posted July 22, 2013 hi had my Daughters car into garage again today it recently kept breaking down and not starting and had a new Lamda sensor front fitted and i squirted card cleaner into throttle body which seemed to all help.the car runs now however with occasional juddering etc so we took it in today and the code P1553 height sensor/inductionmanifold pressure sensor implausible ration message ??what is wrong and before i do what the garage says which is have the car remapped i thought i would gain from your experience and try not to throw lots of money at this ??cheersp.s car is lupo 1.4 16v 2001 car Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Skezza Posted July 22, 2013 Report Share Posted July 22, 2013 Well, personally, I would try cleaning the throttle body first, then I'd consider changing the coilpack, then finally I'd consider checking the cambelt tensioners. I'm sure the last time I saw this issue, it turned out the cambelt had slipped and was one tooth out, but those first steps are worth just doing to save yourself from going insane Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
