how quiet should the engine be on tickover ? is 10w40w a good way to make it quiet

i may be being paranoid but to me the engine sounds a little tappety although its only done 45k mls and has full vwsh is it true if you put 10w40w instead of 5w30w the thicker oil will quieten the engine noise ?

all engines sound tappy, (unless its a 6 cylinder) as long as it doesn't sound like a bag of nails its fine.

Mines got a little ticking sound..i guess its normal. Toyotas are the quietest,
