Joti
Anyone here retro fitted these???It's something I am potentially interested in and would like to know if it's a straightforward and not too expensive job (could a basic DIY-er do it themselves?)Thanks in advance. Silver!
Depends if you have the mounts already in your shell.Pul back the rubber in your door shut where the front of the rear windows meets the shell. If you see bolt holes with threads (will likely have plastic "stoppers in) it's just a matter of removing your existing glass and seals and retro fitting a set of pop outs. However if you don't you will see the indents where they would be so you need to drill the shell and put the nuts in. Foxy done it, so you may get more advice from his build thread. You can get complete sets for about £80 on VW forums, but if you shop around your local scrap yards you shuold be able to pick up a set for nearer the £20 mark. You will need to modify your C pillar trims. Simple as pulling back the facing, cutting a chunk out of the 'foam' and pulling and gluing the facing back in place.

Joti
Could not find any info on Foxy's thread other than him just stating he fitted them, but this answered all my questions (and was enough to put me off - hehe)http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=54561

Not sure how easy they'd be to fit mind.
