davidelliott294
Hi,Welcome to the forums. You must be doing something wrong to be getting quotes of £20,000...

samregjones
put one of your folks on as a main driver, bump up the excess, and go fully comp - that's cheaper than any of the 3rd party quotes. £20,000 is a mental quote, the guy i bought my sport off of was only 17 and his was £3600. so you must be doing something wrong? davidelliott294
http://www.motorcari...ode-ratings.php^ It's illegal to say your folks are the main driver if you are but if they are then it will probably make it cheaper. Don't put your excess to high as in the event you crash into someone you don't want to be paying £1000 excess. Third party, fire and theft was cheaper by £800 for me than fully comp. davidelliott294
found out that its a d rating areaTry putting in that the car has a tracker and that it's locked in a garage and see if it knocks it down. If it does then it might be worth having a tracker fitting and renting a local garage?
Koop
Also put your folks on as named drivers, that ought to bring your quote down without breaking the law
