If that bit breaks off then the bolt holding the wishbone in could shear and the wishbone will drop.I caused similar damage on mine and there was an interesting creak afterwards until I replaced the subframe!Sounds like you need a new subframe if it's as bad as you're making out. Curtis Posted February 16, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 Couldn't get any photo's, but the damage as I can see is that the subframe has split slightly under the passengers wishbone and that the gearbox is leaking from the seal between the bell-housing and gear case. Otherwise, everything else is cosmetic, its just a case of dismantling everything!I've tried draining the gearbox using the wheel nuts, but i can't get anywhere near enough torque to twist it off... going to have to grab a breaker bar from work.
