3lward
Had a quick search couldnt find my answers to the following questions:-1, how do you drop then change the PAS fluid?2. how to drop and change the Coolant?
James827
Coolant would be to disconnect Lower radiator pipes, and actually id just get it out and flush it out (radiator) and by flush just run water from a Hosepipe from the top of the radiator so it washes out any Kack in the radiator, and id do the same by running water through the header tank just to make sure its all Ungunked and working as it should. Never Done a PAS fluid change, but id just disconnect all the lines to the rack and the top of the reservoir and let it drain. I may just be dumb but i cant actually get the cap off my PAS tank?well i cant seem to twist it off or grip it properly.

Derv
I find a spanner handle undoes a hydraulic fliud cap easily. My experience is from other VAG cars, as my Lupo doesn't have PAS. But I remove the lower feed pipe to the pump to drain most of the old fuild out.You can slacken/remove the belt and turn the pump by hand to get the rest of the fluid out. Or immobilising the engine and cranking it over on the starter would probably be the lazy way.Use only green G 004 000 BTW.
3lward
Whats the reasoning behind only using G 004 000?
3lward
Also the car isnt taking the full 5L as it should, its taken about half, ive ran it till the fan come on, squezzed all possible hoses with the cap off and still not dropping?
